Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet do a Magical Whirlwind Pre-Christmas Trip to the World--PTR

So...

Once upon a time, a wife got very frustrated that her husband had 2 weeks of leave while she had 5 weeks of leave each year. She hadn't been on a vacation other than her in-laws house since 2008. She arranged for a free beach condo and told him she was going by herself with their 4 year old son.

He applauded and agreed.

But the child was appalled at the idea of spending a week away from Daddy. Until, Mama pointed out there was a magical place just an hour and a half from the beach where you could have breakfast with Pooh Bear and Friends.

The 4 year old was in.

And that is how our first magical journey began.

How we got from there to planning a 5 day trip right before Christmas will come in future installments, along with all of our plans.

So who is the cast of misfits on this adventure?

Me--Bookluvingbabe aka Tigger. 40 something mom. I love, love, love everything related to Pooh and the gang. I also love classic Disney films though I have some issues with the whole princess thing in general and I think some of the newer films are a bit of a mixed bag. (Heresy, I know...) When I'm not plotting how to get back to Disney, I work as a program manager and strategic planner. I'm blessed with a flexible job, lots of leave and a patient boss.

DH--Eeyore. Also 40-something. He is totally an Eeyore. He has a little dark rain cloud following him around some days. He was a reluctant Disney person at first but he also announced half way though his first visit, "It really is a Magical Kingdom." So there.

DS--Piglet. 5 years old. Too smart for his own good most days. He just started Kindergarten. He has learned from his classmates that there is more than one park, that you can go on a Safari at Disney and that there might be other things we haven't shared with him. He also doesn't know many Disney characters. We didn't let him watch tv or movies until he was 3.5. His first movie experience with the new Pooh movie. We have Lady and the Tramp. But beyond that and a handful of Mickey's Clubhouse's, he really only knows what he has learned on the playground.
