edited (fun) photo of the day

So glad I am not alone! I got photoshop elements for Christmas but I am just not getting it! I keep playing with it but usually get frustrated and give up before anything magical happens. Sigh...

It's not just you. I am pretty computer savvy with most software and other things when it comes to the computer but for some reason, Photoshop is so hard and unfriendly to use that I just don't get it. Now I do have an older version so maybe the newer ones are easier to use. But I doubt I would spend money on a newer one version since I can't figure out the one that I have.

Good morning everyone!
Here's my photo for today:

can not figure out what your picture says. care to help me out?

Sure, each picture is in a specific place for a specific reason.
The pictures are:
Dinosaur
Innoventions
Snow white
Norway
Expedition Everest
Year of a million dreams.

Or in other words, what does Disney mean to you?

Hey Joe,
I went to your sight and saw all of your pics. Man you done good!

I am going to hire you to take our family pics for our next trip:rotfl:

It might be worth the free trip for ya;) :rotfl:

Seriously, I just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed all of your pictures, simply amazing

I'm there! :cool1: :rotfl2:

Here's a collage I made a while ago of the Haunted Mansion:

The only thing that would make that look cooler (which it already is really good) is if you had gotten a shot of the mansion right before a major storm. The bright blue sky takes away from the haunted aspect of the series.

I guess that just means you will have to make another trip just for that 1 stormy shot :rotfl: ;)

This picture is really cool. How do you guys do things like this? :confused3

I did mine through photoshop. I basically selected everything in the photo besides the characters and then just changed it from color to black and white.

Okay bear with me here but in the brightened photo, or whatever you call what you did to it, does any one else see a ghostly body in a bikini holding up some bricks on her head? It is in the upper right of the photo? Pretty cool huh?

For those having problems, go check out photshop books by scott kelby. He has some for PS Elements and the full blown version. I originally tried the full blown version of Photoshop with no guides and hated it. I then got the guide and Photoshop elements- night and day difference. Elements has a lot of user friendly tools and his guides give you step by step directions to some amazing effects.

Love the thread Idea... Pictures are awesome... Joe your pics are AMAZING!

For all of you that do enhance the picture... is it hard to do to change colors and stuff like that to your pics?

I'm really not seeing it at all. I see the bricks (the hole in the plaster, right?) you're talking about but I can't make out body at all. :confused3

Strange but since you said it I can see it. It's like a face facing the right with a smile. The bricks directly on the head and the white under that is the bikini top.

OK, I can't take it anymore! Between this thread and the scrapbooking board with all its digital layouts, I'm so envious! I just have to learn how to do this stuff! So I just ordered a copy of "Photoshop Elements 6 for Dummies"!:woohoo:

Oh, right, now I see it. Except it looks more like an old man with a beard to me (the beard being the part that you guys think looks like a bikini).
