Edenpur Heaters

Has anyone purchased one of these? If so, what are your thoughts. DH and I heard about them on a local radio station. They sound too good to be true.

We bought one from a different company, but essentially the same heater. Six quartz lamps heat the air and a fan pushes it into the room. Unfortunately, at least for us, it is too good to be true.

We have a 20x20 unheated FL room and we thought this would be perfect. We have a gas hater but were looking for something we could safely leave on all the time. We were assured that it would work no problem. The heater simply did nothing for us. It couldn't heat the room nor could it keep it warm. I tried using the gas heater to "prime" the room and then use the other heater but it couldn't even maintain the heat.

Maybe the Edenpure is different, but it looks essentially the same as the one we had. OTOH, the company was good about taking it back and refunding our *gulp* $600.

We ordered one...but only because they agreed to take it back if it didn't do as we expected. We'll let you know how it goes. My understanding is there isn't a fan on this, nothing is combustible...so not sure it would be the same heater.

Hmm, I will be very interested to know how this works. We were really disappointed in the other but I would love to have something in that room that we could safely leave on.

Please post how well it works once you get it up and running.
