Grandma's coming with us next month..Getting her first ECV (Scooter) due to heart and diabetes issues...So here's the questions (I"ve checked the DISabilities board already)

Can she use this all over the ship? What about getting off in Nassau or CC for excursions (anyone have trouble getting on/off gangplank)

I've been to Nassau before, so the hardest for her will be exiting/entering the ship....
Can she get on the glass bottom boat with her ECV? or will she have to leave it at the dock?

Does CC have asphalt or cement paths or is it all sand? I guess i'm asking if she'd be able to do cc or not..

Thanks in advance!

My husband took his on our Jan cruise. We parked it at the rear elevator to charge.I remember one of the ramps off the ship was very steep and I had to manuever it for him.(He's a lousy driver).
We used it in Nassau and didn't do any excursions but all the taxi drivers kept offering to drive us.I guess they can throw it in the trunk?
CC, has cement walkways all the waydown. He actually didn't take it but it became apparent after we got off the tram that I needed to go back for it. Once on the family beach we left it by one of the buildings where the cm said it would be safe.
The only time we had a problem was the last day getting an elevator to get off the ship. we couldn't get on any as they were quite packed so we took one going up which was empty and were able to back it on and then we were all set to get off.
This next cruise we are going over to the Atlantis but will not be taking the scooter.
I heard from an earlier post that the ramp going on to the glass bottom boat was really narrow and that eliminated it for us. If anyone has more info on this feel free to answer.

Thanks for the info...

Looks like we'll take it ...on the glass bottom boat maybe she can "cane" her way onto the boat and the scooter can be lifted onto the boat after her..I'd hate to leave it on the dock...

We're excited that she's getting one next week...with 3 kids apiece, my sister and I have pushed her in a wheelchair a bit too many times :)

Oh the best part of it was on the way back the last night, the seas were a bit rough and he took the scooter to dinner and back and was the only one not rocking back and forth.
