ECVs and staying at the All Star Resorts - multi resort strategies

One strategy I have seen other posters mention involves staying at the All-Star Movies resort, and asking for a Mighty Ducks room. Apparently this gets you very close to the All-Star Music resort and main building with food court. It is also closer to the Music bus stops. It seems you have to cross a street between the two resorts, however. My question is: is it possible to easily get from Movies to Music in an ECV? Are there curbs? If so, are there curb cuts? Are there stairs or any other obstructions that would prevent driving an ECV from All-Star Movies to Music?

I have never heard of that strategy before, to be honest. If you are seriously considering trying that, I would (minimally) fire up Google Maps, and zoom in to see how it really looks. The Disney maps may be to "scale", but I worry that "scale" might be subject to some Disney Magic, if you know what I mean! :)

Plus, the Disney maps are kind of idealized; they tend to smooth things out a bit, and are less about *details* and more about general wayfinding, I think.

If you try it out, let us know how it goes - that could be a good strategy for others to use. :)

It is very easy to walk between all 3 All Star resorts. It’s been several years since we stayed there, and I didn’t pay attention to things like curb cuts at the time. But I suspect there are.

Enjoy your vacation!

Yes you should be able too there are cut out but you might have to go a little out of your way to find one. And depending on where you are in the MDA it might be easer just to go to the movies food Court

Each building has 3 floors each one has an elevator that is an ok s/good size The main building is one floor and is very accessible

Thanks, that was a great idea! There are painted crosswalks visible crossing the street directly from All-Star Movies to All-Star Music, and there appear to be curb cuts, although it's impossible to be really sure. And, there also appears to be a regular street crossing corner just a few feet away, which would almost certainly have curb cuts.

The basic premise of the strategy is that it is pretty easy to request and get a room in AS Movies in the Mighty Ducks section, if you don't have a preferred room; as that is a fairly unrequested section of AS Movies. If you walk (or ride your ECV, hopefully) past the pool in the Mighty Ducks section, and cross the street, you are immediately at the AS Music main building, with a food court and everything, and the bus stops right outside. So, you don't have to spend so much time and energy going between your room and the AS Movies main building. You also don't have to wait for the bus to get to AS Movies last, as it's my understanding that AS Movies is the last hotel on the bus route.

I do this all the time - you can even drop the little yellow icon of a person if there's a google streetview of the area.
