ECV Taxi ?

I will be using an ECV on our trip in October. My family wants to go to DTD for dinner at Raglan Road one night. Is it possible to use a taxi from DTD to the BCV after dinner with an ECV? If yes, how do you arrange that?

Most Cab Companies have wheelchair vans.. you just need to call the number and request a wheelchair accessible van. not sure of the cost..

Yes, the cost should be the same. I was more stating that I didn't know how much any cab would cost from A to B..

All Taxi companies are required to provide accessible transportation at no higher cost than to other passengers.
If you are staying at one of the WDW resorts, you can use the WDW transportation.

There are quite a few taxi companies; interestingly, many are different names, but owned by Mears. This is copied from the disABILITIES FAQs thread:
Accessible Taxi vans
The company used most often by DIS posters is MEARS, which includes buses and taxi vans. Mears taxicabs operate under the Yellow Cab Company, Checker Cab Company and City Cab Company brand. You can use these accessible taxis to get to places within WDW and also to get to other nearby locations like Universal or Sea World.

If your ECV breaks down for travel, you won't need a special accessible taxi. You could use any taxi and the ECV will just be placed in the trunk where bags would normally go.

I will use Disney transportation almost always. I used the ECV for the first time this past October and I was fine on the buses. I was just thinking about whether there was an easier (quicker) way from DTD to the BCV after dinner. DTD transportaition is often very slow in the evening.
I was very happy with the Pride scooter I rented from Bueana Vista Scooters. It was a bit larger than the models that break down for car transport and I was thinking I would like the same model. I guess I have to weigh the pros and cons of each and come to a decision.
In the past (non ECV trips) we often taxi'd to DTD and our evening resort to resort dinners., using WDW tranport everywhere else. I just worry about inconveniencing my DH and DS and making an evening unpleasant for them.
Does anyone know if the smaller scooters that break down for car transport are as safe/stable and have as good a battery life as the other models?
