ECV rental - Early Character breakfast

Does anyone know if the ECV rental place is open at MK earlier than the park.

We have an 8:10 am breakfast reservation at Crystal Palace but need to get an ECV for my mom. Although I am sure she can walk up the street with her cane, I would prefer she didn't have to.

And off site ECV rental is not an option because we prefer to drive to and between the parks.

Just out of curiosity, why can't you rent offsite ecv. That is what we are doing, it is cheaper and you don't have to worry about them running out of ecv's. Last year, we would rent one at one park and then return it to go to another park and they would not have any - that happened more than once. There is a company (it is on the home page of wdwinfo.com I believe) that will deliver to your resort and pick up when you leave. It is suppose to fold easily and fit in trunk.

"easily" is a relative term.

My mother also has a great deal of pride, and while she will accept that she needs to use an ECV or a wheelchair in the parks, she is insistant on not using it everywhere.

I hope there isn't a problem for us renting an ECV - my mil so needs it for her knee, but she's already saying she doesn't want it.
