Hi,

We are planning to visit Epcot on Saturday to see Illuminations amongst other things and I have two questions.
1) If we arrive at Epcot between 4pm and 5pm does anyone know if it is likely that we will be able to get an ECV (as it is a quiet time of year).
2) I have a fastpass for illuminations will I be able to use this area with an ECV, I know there is the disability area but we are a party of four that wants to stay together? Is there anywhere else better to view it from (none of us have seen it before)?

Thanks

Sue

I can only speak from personal experience, we were a party of 3 with a FPP for IllumiNations. There was a HC area within the FPP area, it was fairly crowded, but we were able to place WC at the rail and we stood behind. There was ECV beside us, with two smaller kids in front of it and the adults behind. It was an absolutely perfect, dead center location, and because row at the rail was essentially seated the view was fine for those standing behind.

I would not really count on having an ECV at that time as they tend to be gone but a manual one will be available

Thanks both, in the end although there were both ECCV's and manual wheelchairs we decided to use a manual wheelchair. Unfortunately it started to pour with rain (and thunder and lightning) so we left Epcot and didn't get to see it that night. We went back the next day (again got a manual wheelchair) with no fast pass but got to the designated viewing area about 8.15pm and got a space for me at the rail with my family standing behind. What was annoying was that several times they made an announcement asking family members to move to the back and whilst most did there were a couple that continued to stand at the rail and the CM's didn't tell them specifically to move. From where I was I could see everything but the wheelchairs the other side of the people standing would have had a slightly obscured view.
