I'm an Early Childhood Education major and I would love to try out for the Disney internship. The only thing that is turning me away from it is I want to do something that will actually be working with children visiting the parks instead of custodial or merchandising.

Has anyone had any great placements where they worked with the kids?

Thanks! :)

Bibbdi Bobbiti Boutique (which I totally can't spell) is all about interaction with children. While you of course interact with the parents, your role is centered around making over the child. Character Attendant is another role that has the potential for a lot of interaction with children. Custodial is a role that actually has a TON of guest interaction which can mean interaction with children, but that might not be something your interested in.

My daughter thaought she had heard that Disney wasn't doing the inter program this year, is that true? Does anbody have information on this matter?

I just got done my college program and I had a FANTASTIC placement working with kids! My job was recreation hostess for children's activities at the resorts. I hosted poolside activities for kids, worked in the childcare centers, and worked in the community hall at the DVC resorts. It was so much fun!

I'm a music education major, so I totally know what you mean about wanting the program to somehow relate to your major. I feel so lucky to have gotten my placement there, I miss it so much already!

I am an ECE major as well and I am looking at BBB & recreations as second choices to character performer =]
