I just sold a photo album on ebay

I was wondering if I could send it media mail since it is a book of sorts

or does it have to be a reading book in order to use media mail

Media Mail is reserved for MEDIA --- books (that you read), newspapers, etc. A photo album is definitely NOT included.

In the event that you do send it media mail to save a couple of dollars, keep a few things in mind: Media mail can take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive to its destination, the USPS CAN (and sometimes does) open media mail packages to inspect to ensure the contents are, in fact, media items. If it is determined that you violated the media mail rule, they will either return the package to you for the correct postage OR they will deliver it postage due to the recipient.

Either way, it's NOT a good idea. Just pay the correct postage and call it a day.

Send it Priority. It will not cost that much more than media mail and it will be much faster AND the price of priority includes tracking. I thought that PayPal required things to be mailed with Priority so that tracking is included.

I will send it priority mail-not media I thought since it was a book I could send it media
I do know though you can add tracking separtily if its not included

You need to send it the way you had it picked in your ebay listing. If the buyer is expecting priority or first-class, and you send it parcel or media mail, they're going to be very upset.
