I did pretty good this year. Since September my sales were about $700. The last month was awesome! Everything sold and all but two buyers paid promptly and without reminding. I had one win by "accident" and one non-payer out of about 100 listings. Pretty good in my book. :cool1:

So how did everyone else do? :flower1:

Out of nearly 60 listings only 20 or so sold.

I am about done with eBay. It just isn't worth my time and effort anymore :(

I didn't sell a whole lot more than I did sell. Then all my very meager profits went toward the ridiculos price I had to pay on ebay for a Nintendo DS! People that got their hands on those made a fortune! Not that much to ship and sellers were charging around $15.00 for shipping. Game cost $149 and they were selling, some for over $230!

My sales were crappy. Ebay is getting very expensive and I have been selling since 1998.

Not great....hardly worth my effort....I may just start putting the stuff aside for a big yard sale in the spring...............P

Made about $500. mostly from selling laser disks (yes some folks still use those while most of us use DVD's).

Covers about 2/3 my upcoming trip to The Mouse, have an annual pass so won't need to pay any more admissions.

eBay takes a lot of time to get pictures, edit on the computer with Photoshop (TM) (I use something more primitive and cheaper) and make the listings, and a lot of time to pack the items. I'll do a bunch of items and get tired of it, then a few months later do another bunch of items and get tired of it, and so on.

I only started selling and for the two weeks I listed I made almost 400.00! Mostly HTF books (majority of my profit LOL), a pair of HTF Gymbo crib shoes, Remy's old My first Leappad (50.00 gasp) and a Cranium Hullabaloo game that I bought for 3.74 at Target went for over 40.00! It was supposed to be our vacation $, but I used it for C'mas instead *sigh*. I am currently getting auctions ready to list after the holidays. Someone said the 26th might be a free listing day so I hope it turns out to be true. While ebay might be time consuming, I am a SAHM (no job opportunities here) so I have plenty of time to do it in. My DH considers it my job LOL.

We did pretty well except for the non paying bidders. Three this last week.

I sell mostly clothing from our consignment shop and surpisingly our sales were pretty good, especially this last week.

For anyone selling clothing-- I found that summer items went for major profits in February and March. Last year I was selling single pairs of used denim shorts for $12-30 a pair. Where as in June I wasn't getting much more than $2-3 for same items. So, start thinking spring/summer clothing right after the New Year. I think many people going on spring break- can't always find a good selection in the stores yet.

Last year I crushed it! Made about $3,000 profit. This year less than half that. Ebay has been sporadic most of the year.

Kilee thanks for the tip!

I love Ebay but I also go through spurts of selling and taking breaks. I pretty much have it down to a science with listing and packing. Being organized helps tremendously.

I did pretty well. Sold some NIB toys that went for less than I had hoped but then sold some scrapbooking stuff that I had sitting around that went for way more than I had expected. Not a fortune on anything, but it helped with the Christmas budget.

OUr NIB educational magnet toys well, we covered our costs. We still have many more, but they market is very very soft. We priced competitively, and had reasonable shipping, and they were items you couldn't get in stores like Target, or Walmart.. but still not much.

My Spode Christmas tree collectibles are still going strong. I can't keep those in stock, and the bids are good. I'm still selling those, and the bids are still strong.
