EBAY question

I always check e-bay in my attempts to get good deals. I know many of you sell and buy on ebay, so I was hoping someone can help.

I won the auction for Toy Story DVD on 10/16 (one week ago). Since then, I have attempted 10 times to pay via Paypal (this was the payment listed on the listing), and I get the message that the seller can't accept Paypal at this time. I have used Paypal at other times during the week, so I know it's not my account causing a problem. I would be upset at having to go out and pay for a money order (I never bid on those that only that only take money orders), but would do so if I needed to. Unfortunately, I can't get a reply to anything.

I have tried contacting the seller via e-mail about 5 times, and haven't received a response. I requested his contact info and tried calling. Surprise, his number has been changed.

I tried e-mailing e-bay for support, but got a very generic reply.

Is there a way I can cancel my win? I'm getting terrible vibes. His feedback rating was in the 90's, and I really should have looked at the feedback. Among all the good ones are quite a few mentioning bootleg dvd's being sent. I'm just upset that I can't contact him or pay. I needed this for next weekend...I figured 2 weeks would be plenty of time.

I also worry that I'll be given negative feedback since I haven't paid in a timely fashion (obviously not my fault).

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. I just know many of you are ebay experts.

TIA

I would not bother trying to pay anymore. This seller sounds like a real winner. Count yourself lucky you didn't lose your money.

I used to sell on ebay a lot, back when it was in its prime. Now it isn't worth my time. However, sellers have to accept paypal & have valid contact info. Run away from this one!

Thanks! I know I should just let it go. I'm one of those people, though, that has to play by the rules. I love my 100% positive feedback, and don't want that scarred:goodvibes.

Do you think I should leave appropriate feedback (and risk having the same done to me)...or just let it go?

I don't think sellers are allowed to leave negative feedback anymore.

Buyers can no longer receive negative feedback, so you're ok.
