I've been a buyer on eBay for years and have quite a high feedback rating.

I have some things that I think I can sell on eBay. If I set up another account with another email address would that affect my feedback on the original account? I don't want to lose all my feedback.

TIA :goodvibes

I don't know the answer for sure, although I think this would be fine, but if you don't mind me asking, why do you need a second account? Your feedback as a buyer isn't worth that much anyway - most of the time, anyone gets to bid on an item, unless they have been individually barred buy a seller. When you're a seller however, it can attract buyers if you are proved to be reliable and honest - so your feedback as a buyer will count for something if it's good. You would be better off using the account with good feedback than a new account with none imho.

Does that make sense?

You can set up a separate account for selling however this account will have 0 feedback to start with.
You can still use your original account as well and that account will not be affected by any negative feedback you selling account receives. The accounts will be completely separate from each other.

People have separate accounts to protect there other accounts for example if you had a dispute with a seller they could retaliate by auction wreaking.

It does make sense.

I would prefer to keep the buying and selling separate :thumbsup2

I have to say that I tend to avoid sellers with seperate accounts. As it makes it look like you are buying from fellow ebayers to sell on at a higher price.
Do not worry about 100% feedback, as most buyers can spot a retaliation negative when they see it. Personally I've never understood why buyers/sellers will not leave negative for fear of get one back :confused3

Thanx Reid.

I've noticed more and more sellers are waiting until the buyer leaves feedback before they do. I won an item a week past Thursday. The seller advised that she only posted on a Thursday. Fine, no problems, I had won the item at about 5 on Thursday night and figured she wouldn't post until the next Thursday. On Saturday I got an email from her asking me why I hadn't left feedback for her. Helloooo because I haven't received the item yet :confused3

You could email on receipt saying that you'll reciprociate feedback once they have left for you :teeth:
