I have only been using ebay for a short time and so I have a quick question.

I purchased, via "buy it now", a Disney movie (The Rookie). I paid using Pay Pal that very moment. That was over 10 days ago (4/22/04). I have yet to recieve the movie.

I don't want to make the seller upset, but I am thinking it is taking way to long to ship that thing to me.

I looked at his location and it says the Boston, MA area. I live in Indiana. Should it take this long?

What should I do now? Should I send an email, or contact ebay?

Please help!!

Just send a polite email asking if they have received your Paypal payment. Sometimes Paypal has glitches where payment notifications to the seller are not received. Also double check that you sent to the correct Paypal email address.

Yes I would send an email stated that you paid for the item via paypal, and kindly ask if the movie has been sent. Normally good sellers will get back to you w/in a day or so. My experience is that items usually arrive with two weeks of payment. Oftentimes a quick email will answer your question and put your mind at ease. Also, hopefully you checked the buyers feedback before bidding, so that your purchase was made from a reputable seller. I'm sure everything will work out.

Thanks for the suggestions...I did send a polite email today and I will wait for a response. I did check his feedback b/f (and now after!!) b/f purchasing the video. In the last 30 days, I didn't see any negatives.

But, now I have looked further and many of his buyers have said slow shipping.

So, now my other question is do I give him a negative feedback or what???

If the item is being shipped via "media mail" that can take 14 days to receive or longer. I would ask the seller what method of shipping they used and ask for the delivery conf. number.

Personally I would not leave a neg unless I didn't receive the item. I agree that Media Mail can take 14 days, even longer sometimes (I once had a book take 30 days to go from Florida to California--this was a couple of months after 9/11, it's rare to take THAT long).

If you paid for Priority Mail or First Class, you should have the movie by now. If you paid for Media Mail, give it at least another week. I think it's fine to email the seller to find out when it was shipped, though.

Thank you all so much for the suggestions...but guess what!!! It came in the mail yesterday right after I sent that email....

"what a coinkydink!!"

I will leave a positive feedback for him now!!

Thanks again!!
