We have a number of items we'd like to sell on EBay, but I just don't have the time to take the pictures and do good descriptions. I'm looking for a place in the North Jersey area where I could drop them off. Any suggestions?

Thanks!!:thumbsup2

I think there is an ebay store on rt 46 west side in about Pine Brook area.

Just...really take a good hard look at fees and percentages, and think long and hard about it all. If they are collectibles, how will they price them, what will their minimum be? Think about it for a long long time, and think about the worse case scenario, where you're coming away with just dollars, instead of tens or even hundreds, because they sold so low and the fees and percentages took most of the money away.

Very very BAD experience here with a local "isolditonebay", and I have a bad thought about similar companies...

Here's the thing...as a former full-time (now just part-time) eBay seller, I can tell you first-hand what a pita it is to list things for others. You might pay a good portion of your final sale price in fees to the seller, but let me tell you eBay aint cheap. There's listing fees, final value fees, other fees to make your product stand above the masses, shipping, etc. And that is even assuming the item sells! The market changes minute by minute.

I can't tell you how many times people have come to me with their dusted-off "heirlooms" or "collectibles" with the question "what can I get for this?" Often the answer is nothing because what they truly have is junk...not saying your stuff is but most people think anything that belonged to Aunt Sally is a bonafide rare antique :rolleyes1

If you are going to ask someone else to take possesion of your item, photograph it, list it, babysit the auction, conduct all communication with the buyer, wrap it, ship it, and assume a return policy then be prepared to pay for that service.

After doing this at "cost" for friends and relatives (and getting burned once too often) I changed MY policy. If I thought I could move something I would just simply buy the item from them outright and sell it myself.
