EB Repositioning 4/10/2010 Taking the MAGIC out to sea again in April!

Hi All,

I'm wondering if there would be any interest in a Treasure or Scavenger Hunt on one of the sea days. I'd love to put one together but want to make sure there is enough interest first.

I did a WDW scavenger hunt with friends/family that was a great success and DD's Sweet 16 was a huge, town-wide scavenger hunt (so much fun!). We could either do a "collect these items/photos" type of thing or we could do a treasure hunt that leads you from clue to clue.

Let me know what you think!

Michele

Hey sorry for repeating myself, but not everbody here was on the panama canal, What are shots around the ship?? :dance3:

I am hoping for alchoholic shots!:thumbsup2

Tea, i think I have figured that out!!

Thanks Crafty for adding us( well actually I cant find the link now to check you put us on the list, but I guess you would have, where is the link?)
Shots Around the Ship was an event Ian organized on the WB pc. The intent was to hit all the bars/places drinks were served. I think we hit two, perhaps three the first go around! We had so much fun just gabbing, we didn't make it all around the ship (at least not everyone). Ian was kind enough to organize a second one, and that one I just came at the tail end in Rock Bar b, just in time to order room service and eat some french fries and hamburgers!

The first one, wigs were involved. I can't quite remember how it started....but I as well brought a wig. BUt I chickened out and never wore it (I think! It was after all shots around the ship!).

We did something like this on the PC cruise, and LOVED it. We would definitely participate in that kind of activity.

No wigs, but you WILL be expected at the Edwardian Tea.

Besides, we're going to need someone to be mum and pour out ...

If only the little lad could read his poetry for the tea too :rotfl: Pour, pour pour, yes I'll pour.

Love the idea Michele. The one suggestion that I add is that on the repo it seemed like we had lots of conflicting events in our schedule, so we had to choose to do one thing or another not both :sad2: Could your event be over a couple of days/times were people can join in and make up the past work/event if we missed it the first time. I hope this isn't making the idea complicated. :rolleyes1

Hmmmm...I understand the reason for the suggestion, I'm just not sure how to make it work. I will definitely try to come up with something, but it works so much better when it is one, set-time event. I will see what I can come up with.

Nan....

Get everyone up early that day...it's just going to be you and Willie...you can make it...

does anyone have the scavenger hunt from the WB repo??? I keep asking Matt for it and you would think he'd answer me seeing as he sat with me for 2 weeks at dinner and I even snuck something out of Palo for him... :rolleyes1 OH well... :rotfl:

You're coming up with great ideas.

It would be good for us to lay out a schedule. It was hard on the Panama Canal cruise to figure it out because of the port calls, but we have more at sea days on this cruise.

Eventually I'll start thinking about when "Shots Around the Ship" should take place and the "Edwardian Tea."

Actually, I haven't the faintest idea of what the "Edwardian Tea" is exactly, but it sounds good.

Hi everyone and TGIF!!!!!!!!

Finally got a chance to sit down at the computer and check out whats going on. It seems alot of you have cruised before together, which is great. We have cruised with a few other families on TA.
I'm sure over the next 17 months we can all get to know each other before heading to the terminal. I'm sitting with fingers crossed that they will cancel the fuel surcharges (every penny counts). Anyone know how full the ship is so far?

I know I kept it! Getting it out is the issue. It's in the basement with all of my scrapbooking supplies.... you don't want to know how far behind I am on scrapbooking!

A scavenger hunt and drinking fest sounds good! For the EB Panama Canal Cruise the seperate message board was a great resource for information that you didn't want to search through dis discussions for. It was great for organizing daily meetings/activities and to sign up for things. Whatever works!

We are off to Disneyland on Sunday! Somehow I misread the kids school calendar. Turns out they have no school the week of Thanksgiving!?!? I thought they had 1/2 days but I guess that is just for grades 9-12. Had I realized this earlier I would have planned a longer trip so that we could be there for the kick off of the christmas holidays. Oh well I guess we are at least avoiding the crowds!

What other vacations does everyone have planned prior to the cruise? We are going to Hawaii in May and I am trying to plan Disneyworld in August staying off site at my parents time share to save $.

We had Athena down at Children's Hopsital in Seattle last week to see a GI doctor. We haven't recieve the test results yet but she is feeling way better just from a week of following their advice. Hopefully the celiac test will show a lower number which means we don't have to spend more time removing gluten/wheat from our house. I was eating a bagel on the couch yesterday and getting crumbs everywhere. Not knowing how sensitive she is to wheat it is hard to know how the possible consumption of these crumbs could effect her.

We are working away on finishing our new bathroom. Martha Stewart I am not so we are meeting with an interior designer tomorrow to pick out tile. I tried to do it on my own and I just couldn't do it! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

If you find it along the way could you please remember to snag it for me??? I'd love to have a copy of it and I don't know where mine went... thanks!!! :)

Don't forget Tea Leoni.

The DIS is a fantastic place for everyone to meet, ask questions, and get to know each other before a cruise. This will be our third cruise and weve mde many friends from around the globe through the DIS. Over the coming months myself and wife look forward to getting to know families we'll be sailing with, and encourage all of us to welcome new cruisers and get them involved. Chatting here adds to entire vacation:thumbsup2
