Odd question but I was wondering if the eating utensils at a counter service restaurants do they have plastic utensils or wood? Also, are all straws paper?

Thanks!

We've only seen plastic utensils at CS locations. Straws are usually paper, but some places have compostable plastic.

I can handle the compostable stuff but wood I can not. Already planning on carrying a silicone straw but really didn’t want to have to carry utensils too. Thanks!

Same. Can you update if you vist before April 23rd? Would love to know if I need to pack my own stuff too.

Never saw any wood utensils over 4 days in the park, all plastic. If the food & wine festival is still going, there are utensil stations out along the path in DCA - super helpful when I forgot spoons for my hotel yogurt :)

I just don't use straws, LOL!
If it’s paper or nothing I’ll choose nothing for sure. LOL I do have a silicone travel straw that I may bring, but I actually prefer bottled drinks over fountain so it’s not normally a big enough issue.
