I believe The Wave offers organic fare.

They also serve locally grown produce.

We eat organic at home, but in WDW we haven't found a lot of options, so we usually have to resort to not eating organic there. Like Kevin said The Wave had a couple of options, and once a waiter told us that that the fruits/veggies served at The Garden Grill at Epcot were the ones from "The Land" ride. Not sure if that is still true.

We would love to see more options. Let me know if you find anything!

And good luck with your quest to go organic, it can be challenging, but very rewarding. We only eat meat sporadically now and love the Moosewood Cookbooks if you are looking for good vegetarian dishes. We also just found an awesome local farm for when we do need meat.

I think it is enough to try to eat "healthy" at WDW.
To find organic, I think that would be more of a challenge. Think what it would do to the prices on the menu if WDW went all organic! Sure would be tasty!

I am trying, especially during the summer, to eat local foods. Often, but not always, they are organic.

The crops from our "science experiment" in our plot at the community garden are all organic. The lettuce leaves are lacy because the bugs also like organic produce.

thanks for the replies ..i agree about what the prices would increase to..probably wouldnt be fair to make it all organic but to be able to find it in a few places would be nice. im going to look up the menu for the wave and thank you for the cookbook suggestion ;)

Great thread! :thumbsup2

Netflix'd Food Inc. recently too and have since watched my food bill triple! :rotfl:

We've gone to free roaming, grain-fed meats. One of our friends who lives out "in the country" knows a local farmer so we're looking fwd to meeting him to get our products. :goodvibes

We've switched completely at home but aren't going to worry about it too much when travelling. Good to know about the Wave - thx a mint for letting us know :thumbsup2

cheers,
:flower3:

I usually eat pretty healthy at WDW but I can't say it is organic. The Wave as Kevin mentioned along with Tusker House and Boma all have good healthy options. Sushi is always good too (depending on which you get of course) so that place in the Poly is another option. Disney is really good at substitutions so asking for a healthier side or removing heavy sauces from dishes is never a problem.

If you have a car and will venture off property you will find many more options, I haven't tried it yet but Seasons 52 seems like a good chioce.

So glad you listed these two places as healthy. They are favorites. Trouble is, the food is so good, I am sure I eat too much of it!
