OK, when we did this in November for the first time, a line was formed on the side of the Horseshoe. When they opened the door, we were able to get a seat and them I got in line to get our food. The line was insane! But I read here that you can eat inside the Golden Horseshoe anytime, even when there is no show. How do you do this? It would have been nice to have our food and eating before the show starts instead of me running in from the Stagedoor at the last minute. I gave up on the line inside and went outside where it was somewhat faster. Thanks!

The Shoe is closed for rehearsing and show prep until their first show at 11:15 am. You must have seen the first show and that's why there was a line. After that first show, the doors remain open and you can grab a seat for the next show as soon as the previous show empties. Grab food from wherever you like in the parks or bring your own pb&j's like we do and just plan on being there 20-30 minutes prior to showtime and you're set.

This is actually a great hidden place to cool your heals when they are between shows or at the end of the day. After the last show of the day they still serve food items and it's easy to get a table. Often times the outside area is full of Fantasmic viewers but you can still get food and sit for a while.

Thanks for the replies! It was the first show that we went to. DH ran across to Rancho del Zaccallo for food for us and I to the Stagedoor for DD. Worked like a charm as DMIL was with us and sat with DD while we ran. But she will not be on our next trip.
Thanks again!

Yeah, you can eat there anytime, seating is not reserved for the show only or anything like that - but the show makes eating there more enjoyable.

We usually try to catch a Billy Hill & The Hillbillies performance while eating food from the Golden Horseshoe. Seems like we have gone during different seasons, and there has always been a very long and slow line! I would show up at least 30 minutes prior to a show, that way you can find a good table and have enough time to order everything.

They sell a piece of chocolate cake for under $6.00 that is HUUUUGE! Tastes okay, a good inexpensive thing to share with a large party.
