Any good suggestions for food in bars? I am looking at using a few bars to bypass crowds and kids. Would this work? Any locations and menus better than others?
The Rose and Crown Pub is a good place to get a pint or a beer sampler. You can order a few items such as fish and chips or cheese plate. It's very nice place to take a break or have a quick bite. The only down side is that there aren't that many tables or bar stools, so you may have to wait a bit.
Also in Epcot is the Matsu No Man Lounge which sells appetizers and sushi.
Several of the bar menus are listed here on wdwinfo.com and on allearsnet.com. You can search by type of restaurant (lounge) on wdwinfo, or look at one big list on allears.
Thanks for posting this question, I'm curious to see what others recommend.
I think most of the bars are going to feature appetizers and bar food(i.e. fried cheese). If that will suffice, you'll have fun and get some good drinks.
i am pretty sure the bars in the hotels offer food as well. while staying at WL in feb. i was not in the mood for something heavy so i went down to territory lounge and ordered a fruit and cheese plate to take to the room. of course, i had to have a cosmo while i waited for them to prepare my to go order i noticed others eating wings, nachos, etc. watch your timing, however, because it was peak dinner time (7:30 ??) and the bar got the "overflow" from artist point diners waiting for tables so it was very crowded and lots of kids.
