With only 64 days (Wohoo! :yay: ) left before our 3rd trip to DLP DH and I are starting me make plans for what we want to do while we are there!!!

You see, for the first time we are going on our own with our 3 year old son. On previous occasions we have gone with family or close friends. This time we are relishing the opportunity to do exactly what we want - without compromise! :)

A big part of this is about planning where we eat. Before, our restaurant choices have been a compromise based on either financial or taste issues but this time around the choice is ours. We have previously eaten dinner in the restaurants in the Disney Village but this time we would rather eat in the Parks.

This brings me to the issue of pre-booking. I have noticed some of you guys book you tables in advance, is this always necessary? If so, what is the best way to go about it?

Also, we want to see the Buffalo Bill show and eat there one night. Is it best to book this one in advance too?

Thanks for your help guys, and any restaurant recommendations would be highly appreciated! :thumbsup2

November shouldnt be too bad for pre booking.

If you go at a weekend its probably the best bet for if you have your heart set on anywhere.

If not you should be OK going to city hall in the morning and booking up your meal for that day.

I really wanted to eat at walts and cafe mickey last trip, so I booked them in advance as I was going in peak season, the people on the phone are really nice and helpful and I'd certainly do it again if I go at a busy time.

My next trip is midweek in january, so I doubt I'll book anything in advance, just pop in on the day :)

I haven't been to BB so can't help there I'm afraid.

when i've been in the middle of the summer i've never had any trouble just walking in on the day i want the meal for and booking it early-mid morning. If you're looking at cafe mickey it might be an idea to go in first thing coz its normally very busy!

We have travelled in the height of summer season and booked most restaurants on the morning or a day or so while we were there.

If you know where you want to eat then by all means book. Otherwise you'll be fine when you get there :goodvibes

I book all mine in advance most of the time because I find the dining is a big part of the vacation. However, I am used to the nightmare of WDW where you can forget it unless you are 180 days in advance booking, or DL where some places book fast. Thankfully most Europeans are oblivious, so you can often book the night before or on the day in the morning, but I like to book at least a couple so I know what to look forward to.

If theres somewhere we really want to eat we tend to book so we're not disappointed otherwise we just book whilst there.
If you book Buffalo Bills in advance it is slightly cheaper but it is non refundable
