Would we be stuffed if we eat dinner at 'Ohana around 4:30 and then do the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise? When and where do most people eat dinner before the cruise? It seems as the cruise offers mainly snacks and drinks. I don't want to be so full that I don't enjoy the snacks on the cruise.

We ate at 1900 Park Fare prior to the cruise last May. The adults were def full, but where there is dessert there is a way! lol DD(6) ate some as well. We ate later than 4pm though!
I will say that the dessert party is not a bunch of great desserts - pretty basic and basic snacks so I would not be too concerned if you are full - you will pick - and still thoroughly enjoy this event! The characters, the cruise, and the fireworks make this 100% worth it!

With all of that said - I think you will be good eating at 4:30 at 'Ohana and then doing cruise! :goodvibes

We went in July and ate at the Wave and had appetizers, dinner and dessert and I wouldn't change a thing! We had a wonderful meal there and the snacks and treats are really pretty basic - bags of popcorn, a sheet cake, gold chocolate coins, hot chocolate, coffee, tea, etc. The cruise is an absolute blast though and worth every cent, the treats are just not the biggest draw. I would go to Ohana and eat as much as you want! The nice thing about the snacks is that, outside of the cake, you can take them on the boat with you. Have a great time!

Bring a bag with you and stuff with it with all the goods! (Obviously not the ice creams what not). They encourage you to do so lol.

I thought the snacks/drinks were served on the boat? Where are they served before you get on the boat? So you can take extra snacks back to the hotel with you after the cruise?

The snacks are not served on the boat, but before you go on the boat in a conference room where you get to meet Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. You can load up a bag with treats to bring with you and for after the cruise.

You meet in one of the conference rooms before the cruise and the pirates, Capt Hook and Smee are in there. Then you mingle around and eat snacks then leave for the ship and cruise.

We did it a few years ago and ate at the Wave. In retrospect, I probably would have chosen a slightly smaller meal simply so I could have eaten more of the deserts, but Im also a very small/picky eater.

The snacks are actually served in a confrence hall in the contemporary, its also where you meet Hook, Smee, and your pirate captain Patch before you get on the boat. However, you can also take any food/drink you can carry onto the boat, so get creative. (i had a nice cup of chips and salsa for the actual fireworks lol)

As others have mentioned, they serve the desserts, snacks and beverages in a conference room prior to the boat trip. And they serve a TON of snacks and desserts - ice cream, cakes, etc. There is no way I could, personally, eat at O'hana and then enjoy the items at the party. When we did Pirates and Pals, we ate at the Wave prior to the party which was nice because we didn't have to travel anywhere after dinner, plus we could control the amount of food and the cost (ordering ala carte instead of a buffet or AYCTE like O'hana). I think I ordered a salad and an app. Before Pirates and Pals, I would even consider eating at Contempo Cafe. I just wouldn't want a big meal!

Thanks for all the details! I may re-think 'Ohana before the cruise!

We did Ohana before the cruise last November. We were stuffed- we also had a much later reservation time than you did. Actually, if I were to do it again- I would keep the reservation at Ohana and the time you have. Your body will have had enough time to digest. The snacks really are not a draw- they are actually the same kind that you would pack into a kids lunch (smartfood popcorn, pretzels, chips, fruit) and then they have some desert items (sheet cake, mickey bars, popsicles, gold coins etc). Nothing that you don't have at home or see. We have grabbed snacks from there to take with us to use while at the parks or in the room. We have done the cruise 2x and its AWESOME and I usually don't partake in the snacks- bc we have been full- but I have never felt that I missed anything TBH. My one suggestion is to line up to meet hook and sme first- then hit snacks- most people do the opposite and then you possibly miss your time with them to leave for the boat.
