Well before I could stop him my DS 11 ate a cheeseburger doggie bag that was sitting in the van all night and all day. Now his stomach hurts. Should I do anything special for him? I've called the pediatrician. I stayed home sick from work today! I can't be out again tomorrow plus we are leaving for Florida on Wed. afternoon. Will he be ok by then? Why me?????

When I'm feeling ill, I find the best thing to do is to "get rid" of the culprit. As much as I hate having food going against the flow, I feel much better afterwards.

Give him something to make him hurl.

what was the weather like during the time that it was sitting out?

Maybe it is not quite as bad as you thought:eek:

Didn't he notice that maybe it tasted a little bit strange :earseek:

Boys/men sheesh ;)

Well about 50's today, van was in garage so I don't know. He wolfed it down and said it was fine before I could stop him. He never listens, this might be a good LESSON!! I'm hoping he will sleep it off, he has the bucket next to his bed, never a good sign.

Hopefully if he gets to sleep and can stay asleep, that this too shall pass :p

Good luck.

My doctor told me to take Dramamine when I have an upset stomach. It can't hurt and it tends to make you drowsy. Sometimes it will settle your stomach and you just sleep it off. I hope he feels better.

Thanks just tucked him in and he is snoring away. Let's hope he wakes up fine. Kids:rolleyes:

I have had food poisoning and let me just say that if your son has it, you would know it. I have ever been so sick in my entire life. I threw up for hours and felt terrible. It hit me about, oh, less than 5 hours after the food in question. The good thing is that after I got everything out of my system, I was fine after just a day. Hope he starts feeling better.

Thanks Idaho, that is what I figured also. The ped said he should wake up fine.

Pepto may be the only way to go...however, I can't stand that stuff and usually get sick after taking it :crazy2:

He leaped out of bed this morning, never got sick and all is well. After all that worry:rolleyes: -- so his lesson was "see mom toldyou I could eat it"

I am glad your son survived his burger ordeal with no ill effects.:D

Have fun at Disney!!:sunny:

I knew guys in college that would eat leftover pizza that'd been sitting out all night. I don't think they ever got sick:confused:
