Eating at Tusker House after AK closes

I currently have an ADR at Tusker House at 5:20pm. However, AK closes at 5that day. Has anyone ever experienced eating at Tusker House after the park closes? I am worried about service and/or the food. How late do they take ADRs after the park closes? There is a 4:20pm ADR available. Should I change our reservation? Thanks for an advice!

One more thing.... we are vegans, so there will probably be some things that we need modified on the buffet.

we ate at close about two years ago. dinner was great but i remember we were at SSR and had to catch the bus, so we checked when the last bus departed from Animal Kingdom back to the resort and after we finished eating we walked as fast as we could to the bus. we made it though.

I'm not sure any of the buffets 'modify' anything to accommodate vegan diets. There are a number of vegetarian options at Tusker House. They may make you a vegan dish or two for everybody to share, but I wouldn't expect them to make everything vegan.

For those dining in the park at AK, how long after park close does the last bus run? Understand they cannot continue to run empty busses to all the resorts, but is there at least one "very late" bus, maybe to DTD or some other central point?

i am going back from memory of that last trip and i think it was an hour after parks close. we made the bus after our adr which was when the park closed so we ate and got to the bus quickly and JUST made the last bus back to the resort.

Since there will be people dining at Rainforest Cafe and (apparently ) Tusker House even after the park closes, and because Walt Disney World doesn't leave its Guests stranded, there WILL be a way for diners to get somewhere else. There may only be one bus taking everyone to a central location (park? DtD?) where the stragglers will then have to connect to their respective destinations, but nobody gets stranded.

Thanks for the responses. We will have our car, so getting back to the hotel will not be a problem. I was just worried about the food since our ADR was so late in the day. I was just wondering if anyone had experience dining late after the park closes at a buffet. Thanks again.
