Was thinking of eating in one of the Eiffel Tower restaurants for a treat when we visit DLP - possibly 58 Tour Eiffel.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to whether its worth it? Or would one of the buffets be better? I think the Jules Verne menu is a tad fussy for us slightly picky eaters, but I'd love to know what you all think is the way forward :)

Only at JV many years ago before it was Ducasse and it was very good

Les buffets sell the same sandwiches etc that you can find in Monoprix and you'd get better and cheaper from a bakers

58 is a "cantine" for me and I wouldn't pay those prices for self service.

Have you looked on TA at reviews and that :goodvibes

We ate lunch at the other restaurant in Eiffel Tower a few years ago - not Jules Verne. It was table service but a set meal. It was very good but I cant remember what I had.
Im not sure if I wrote about it in a TR or not - I'll try and look and see

You must have gone when it was Altitude 95 :goodvibes
That was a brasserie type restaurant . They revamped it into 58 and it's now self service ..such a shame :confused3

Thats right- thats what it was called. It was about 6 years ago.
I remember the food was really nice and not too expensive for where we were eating.
No use to OP though

I didn't realise it was self service - they must have cleverly duped me into believing it was sit down table service! Will have to have another look now!

As an alternative question, is there anywhere else on the usual tourist trail that might make for a better treat?
