Eating at OKW

Our family very much likes the counter service we get at resort hotels. Love the food courts at Moderates, and although not a food court, we enjoyed Gasparilla's Grill at the GF. We usually eat our sit down meals at the parks.
Anyway, we are debating on staying at OKW and have heard there is not really any "Quick Service" available there, but there are snack shacks. Are these Snack bars seasonal ( we hope to visit in Feb)? And are they similar to say Gasparilla's or any of the quick service? Are these snack bars sufficient for breakfasts and possibly lunch? I know we would have a small kitchenette in OKW, but we won't be bringing food.

Although a beautiful resort, one downfall we found about the Boardwalk Resort is that we were dependant on eating meals at one of the actual restaurants on the boardwalk, no real quick place to grab things. I didnt know if this would be the same case at OKW.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I've stayed at both BWV and OKW and both have the same problem: no real quick service restaurant(at least what I call a true quick service!).

Unless things have changed at OKW Goods to Go, you will be able to get a platter with scrambled eggs, potatoes and a biscuit or a biscuit sandwich for breakfast. The rest of their items are what I call snacks.

BWV has the same problem. The only substantial breakfast type item you can get from the bakery is the croissant sandwich which has egg, cheese and meat(or just egg & cheese). When I ate there, I usually also had to get the yogurt with it to fill me up.

For breakfast, I need a bounty platter or mickey waffle to get me through the day. Since these locations don't have those, I stay elsewhere. Maybe if enough of us complain they will update the kitchens at the two locations.

Goods to Go is a small counter service at the main pool and is open year round. You eat on the picnic tables just across the walkway from the counter (it's all outside). The Turtle Shack at the Turtle Pond pool is open seasonally. And the offerings there are less than what is at Goods to Go.

Both are way smaller than Gasparilla's.
