We found the food to be average for resort food... I find the parks offer a much greater variety, and better food overall. The prices are okay, as well. www.allearsnet.com lists all items and prices.
One of our fave things to do at Disney is dine at the many great places they offer, so eating at the resorts is not on our list of things to do usually... so many restaurants, not enough meals when there But we did eat one meal there the night we got in and were too exhausted to go elsewhere. =)
I think everyone can find something they like there, at a reasonable price. IF you are staying awhlie, and plan to dine often, I'd invest in refillable mugs, as the drink prices are pretty high without.
