Hi everyone,
I'm currently planning mine & my DH's first trip to DLP for early this July - we chose our dates so that I could spend my birthday (July 2nd) at the park! Since it's a special trip and a special day, I want to choose a nice meal for my birthday dinner, and I'd like recommendations. I've heard nothing but great things about Walt's (I've been told by people they ate better at Walt's than Club 33 in Disneyland) but we're still figuring out our budget and I don't know if Walt's is feasible for us. What other places might you all suggest, particularly in a cheaper-than-Walt's setting? I'm also not opposed to making it more of a birthday lunch vs a dinner to save money.
Also, I've done a little reading on this, but how important is it to book dining reservations in advance? From what I've read the only way seems to be to call (is this correct?) but as we're in the US that seems a bit daunting/expensive. Given that this particular date seems to be the first Saturday of summer break for schools, would you all say this would make an advance dining reservation more necessary? It's hard to break from my uber-WDW style of planning!
Thanks!
