Post your favs for eating around the world. We plan on doing this next week and I had a great list that someone posted, but DH deleted it.... :confused3

LOL, maybe he isn't as hungry as you are..lol.

When we start..

UK..we pop into the pub get our favorite beer and enjoy the cheese platter.

Canada...we get moosehead and fresh popcorn. We pop up to the store for the maple sugar candy.

Mexico..we usually don't stop here unless we are having lunch at the quick serve restaurant..the giant burrito is fantastic and everyone loves the margaritas..I have never tried them.

Norway..we stopped going here since they took out Ringnes beer.

China...we don't stop here

Germany...we stop here for Fieglings Fig Vodka, Beer and brat with sauerkraut. The pretzels are very good also. We also check out the wine store, do a flight if there is anything new, and of course one of the strawberry infused champagne drinks.

Japan...we do the Sake tasting in the back room, purchase some candy and tea. Try the plum wine..it is fantastic.

Italy...we go inside the wine shop to do a flight of whatever is new. We also enjoy some lemonciello, and enjoy some banfi rosa regale, it comes with a piece of dark chocolate..very nice.

American Adventure..if hungry we grab a funnel cake. Other than that..we keep sam adams in the fridge at home so a good place to grab a bottle of water.

Morroco...A casa beer of course and anything from the bakery..the pistacio baklava is very nice. Everything we have had in the quick serve restaurant is fantastic.

France...A kir royale from the champagne cart. Sometimes a pastry..and we hear the crepe cart is wonderful..haven't tried them yet.

Here are my favorites...

Mexico counter service--child's meal burrito or a churro
Norway bakery--school bread and almond pretzel, plan to try strawberry cake next time
China--egg rolls if hungry, otherwise skip
Germany--brat from counter service
Italy--tiramisu from cart
Japan--skip
Morroco counter service--schwarma platter (sp?)--loved the couscous salad and the meats
France bakery--To Die For cheesecake and sacristain (a pastry w/chocolate chips and cream) and anything else my heart/sweet tooth desires
Canada--never tried anything, waiting for the beavertails to come back so I can sample one of the them
U.K.--fish and chips, of course!

Looks like fun, but maybe you drank :drinking1 around the world a little more than you ate!
:ssst: :rotfl:

Beavertails are a pastry with different toppings..they are no longer available.

Everyone has good taste
But no one seems to eat at Le celliar steak house at Canada
everything on the menu is good
if you go for lunch they are very reasonable. Sorry to good to pass up even though it is sit down (you can share) and eat at other places as well
But I wouldn't :earseek:
Desert....... France
those 2 are enough for me for a half day

That is if you like Steak :rotfl:

Mexico-Churro
Norway-School Bread or Rice Cream
China-Wonton Ribbons in a Bag
Germany-Bratwurst & Kraut and a German Chocolate Cookie
Italy-Cannoli
America-Funnel Cake
Japan-Kaki Gori Ice
Morocco-Lamb Shawami Sandwich & Baklava
France-Peach Tart or Chocolate Croissant
United Kingdom-Fish & Chips
Canada-Maple Candy

Everything is subject to opinions, but I have eaten in every one of the sit down restraunts in Epcot. We usually have PS for at least one meal per trip, but often several. My filet in Canada was perfectly prepared, but my overall vote for the best meal in Epcot (IMO) was Coral Reef in The Living Seas. We have had a couple of impromtu trips, and without a PS, we have been lucky more than once to snag a table in China just walking up. It's also good!

We love to have a drink and snack at each country as many of the posters have noted, but I have learned through trial and error, that I stick to only the margaritas in Mexico. I have had too many great meals elsewhere that always make me expect too much from Mexico.

I would never skip the sushi/sashimi in Japan either! It is very good and authentic tasting to me, the rice is perfect! The bar area has a great view and it's a great place to grab a bite and a drink.

Epcot is my favorite of all the parks! I love the atmosphere, the tastes, the smells, and the entertainment too. :cheer2:

I second the Kaki Gori Ice in Japan!! On our last trip, my son and I were getting ready to leave Epcot for the day...we got to Spaceship Earth and then just HAD to RUN back to Japan for ONE MORE Kaki Gori (our third and final for that trip!).
We also did Kringles in Norway..mmmmm

Can someone explain the Kaki Gori to me?? It is just a snow-cone right?? I guess I don't understand what the big deal is :confused3
