On our next trip we're gonna do something a little differently than we normally do. On one of our 3 Epcot days, we are going to the Princess lunch at Akershus in Norway. My sister is going to be with us, along with my nieces and my parents. So we all said we would do this meal together. My sister did this with the girls last time they went and she thinks we will all like it there (she knows our taste as well as my boys, who will be 3 and 5 when we go in July).
That evening, we are going to go around the countries to the different CS locations and try eating around the world a little. DH, the boys and I are all on the DDP but the rest of the crew is not getting a dining plan. The 4 of us will be using a CS credit each, and some snack credits as well. The idea is to sample different things. Most likely my kids will be happy with the usual kids' choices, but DH and I will be sharing.

The only CS we have eaten at in the World Showcase is Tangierine Cafe, which we loved so much. We could go there and share something easily, then share something somewhere else, and also share some snacks. What are you favorite CS meals in the WS, and what are your favorite snack items? We will also have 2 additional days at Epcot throughout our trip, when it will just be me, DH and the boys. On those days we will be following our usual pattern of CS lunch and TS dinner.

For those of you who have eaten around the world at Epcot, what do you suggest? What foods do you think are not to be missed?

My DH and I are going in a few weeks without the children and were thinking about the same thing. Cant wait to hear some of the answers.

I've done this:

Mexico: Share Nachos
Norway: A pastry (depends on the mood which one)
China: Eggrolls (this is a favorite)
Germany: Bratwurst from Sommerfest (Yum)
Italy: Gelato
American Adventure: funnel cake
Japan: in the summer, Kaki Gori
Morocco: nothing usually
France: another pastry
UK: Fish and Chips
Canada: we used to get beaver tails. Now, sometimes we get to-go cups of the Cheddar Soup.

One of our things is to buy a combo platter in three or four countries each trip and taste a bite of everything among the four of us.

Everyone (2ads and 2ch) takes one bite of each thing on the plate to try the different countries flavors then if there is any left anyone who wants more of a particular item can have more.

It was great. My children found out they really liked lamb in Morocco, ginger cake in Japan brats and sauerkraut in Germany.

The only country we have not done this in yet is China. :)
