DF and I are on the dlx dining plan next month and we booked many ressies. I have to say that I am a bit concerned about eating so much food and then riding all of those rides it just seems like i'm setting myself up for disaster:scared1: Has anyone on this plan had a problem with this in the past? I don't want to be sick / feel completely stuffed while I am walking around the whole trip :rotfl:

we just kind of know what to avoid afterwards. we like to hit a show, or a boat-ish ride, or walk around and shop, etc. after about 30 minutes you should be good to go :)

my only BAD experience was raglan road... then ride the comix at disney quest  put me down all day

you'll be fine!! have a great time!!

We did deluxe when we were there and you are so right about it being lots of food - I've never eaten so much in my life! Definitely take some chill time after lunch to let your food digest but don't worry at all - we didn't ever have a problem :goodvibes Also, we ate dinner pretty late each night to make sure we had worked up an appetite again!

Yes we had this problem. It's way too much food. We were miserable. Even without finishing the portions, which would have been impossible, the food is heavy. It made us sluggish walking around the parks and we were uncomfortable on certain rides (how anyone can eat that fried food at 50s PTC and then get on RnR and TOT is beyond me).

And this is why, after 3 vacations with the dining plan, we choose to pay OOP and eat a lot less.

Contrary to the impression you would get from many posts and dining reviews here you can eat normal meals instead of gorge yourself while at Disney. I've never eaten so much it caused me any problems on any of the rides afterwards. My personal opinion of the dining plan is that it encourages people to just stuff themselves as opposed to just eat as they would normally. Well, unless normally they stuff themselves of course.

DXDP can cause you to spend a lot of time in restaurants, and at Disney, time is money

If you are planning 3 sutdown meals a day, figure what, about 3-6 hours a day in restaurants. :confused3 that's a lot of vacation time

When we get the dxdp, we tend to do either a bfast or early lunch, then a signature dinner. I cannot eat 3 courses multiple times a day

Good luck!! :cool1:

I didn't have the problem of over eating when we just did the regular plan, but our big dinners were in the evening so we were never stuffed when the time counted. For this trip, I have booked mostly breakfast and dinners so when we get to the parks I guess we just can't ride the more intense ones right away, maybe just grab the fastpasses and go later:confused3 I don't want to feel sluggish though... :/
