I have tried this before and never got an answer other than a recommendation to do ETTB concert another night which isn't an option.
Does the concert start promptly at 5:45pm? How long does it last? Can you check in for PFTS at the ETTB concert area?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can get your wristband at the concert. You may either skip the concert and walk over and get in line, or I believe, they escort the group from the concert at 6:15. I think it is really just more crowd control than a chance to enjoy the concert.
If you aren't rushing to get a table, you can stay as long as you want and leisurely stroll over.
I know there is a big discussion about seating at PFTS.
We didn't find it a problem at all. We didn't want to be seated at a table.
We used the cocktail tables in the area that we were grazing. Never had a problem finding one to stand at. These tables are meant to be "pit stops". A few people tried to hog them for just themselves, but that isn't the intention.
I felt fine sharing with anyone wanting to stand with us. One couple looked at us like how dare we when we stood at "their" table. Room for 6 people. But everyone else we joined, or who joined us, seemed to understand what the standing tables were meant to be.

Eat to the Beat concerts start at 5:45pm, 7pm and 8:15pm and last 30-35 minutes.

Perfect! Thank you!
I agree about the table thing. People just don't get that it is supposed to be a cocktail party. The reason there isn't seating is because people aren't using it right. It is designed to be a "pit stop" as you said, not a "grab a table and hunker down at it for the night like it is a buffet". There would be ample seating if the flow was working better where people used the tables as a pit stop here and there as they floated around.

Doom is correct. The concerts are supposed to be, per WDW when they book the performers, 30 minutes long. The shows are usually 30-35 minutes.
