Eat, Run and Celebrate- Day 7- Last Day and New Orleans

Now most time you are heading home. Unless you are KatMark and then you head to Marco Island.

I was not heading home. I was heading to my annual World Waterpark Conference. This year I convinced my friend B to join me. She would be arriving Tuesday night.

I was heading to New Orleans.

Now before I give a synopsis of that trip and a great check in story to boot. I promised pictures of the haul I left Disney with.
Scarf I found at the Boardwalk

The I was there pin from Oct 1 – All these were part of the Outpost purchase on Oct 2.

They even has some Room for one more stuff left over

My special 5K pin

The earrings from the Poly- where I later had to retrieve my card.

I picked up the Dory pin there too.

This was a Passholder pin.

VISA and 2010 DVC pin ( they did not have the 2011 one???)

I need to figure out how I am going to find a place for these. I no longer have an antenna.

One to commerate the resort stay.

Wow...so much to comment on here. First of all, how is that you have gotten through most of your TR in such a short amount of time? Amazing. Second, I love all the pictures of things I've never seen, like the All-Stars and the part at AK. I am really hoping to get back on the RR in February. Love that ride. I am also in awe of all that you've been able to accomplish in the course of a single Disney day. Also, nice scarf and I am wearing the earrings you purchsed right now. I wear them an awful lot. I'm glad to hear they're still around, as mine are bit dull from so much wear.

I can't believe you were back in the picture and I didn't even realize it until you pointed it out to me! I'm so glad we were able to meet up and ride together. It was so nice to meet you! I hope our paths cross again someday at Disney World.

I can't believe you found him!!!!! That's too funny. I copied this picture and I'm gonna share it on my TR.

The gravediggers were the last characters before you went back out to the parking lot.

I thought this was so appropriate and funny.

I put my 3.1 miles around 37 minutes which was a personal best. I guess training on all those hills paid off.

Congrats! That's a great time! I think I was at about 42 minutes. My goal was 45 so I was happy with that. I'm running another 5k in March for Seth's school, so I think I'm gonna set my goal at 40 minutes this time. Baby steps.

I am posting this against my better judgement. It is probably the most horrible picture of me lumbering along.

Yours is actually good! Mine was horrible. I didn't even take a picture of it!

Wow that's a lot of stuff. The pins are so nice but I never really got in to pin trading. Not sure why, just didn't. Now that scarf and earrings....I want those. Too cute!

Probably the most amazing thing all day was when they played “ When you wish upon a star” and one of the speakers shouted out “ Come on You all know the words” and EVERYONE chimed in. The music stopped but EVERYONE was still singing and finished out the verse. That was amazing and still makes me tear up as I write this.

I stayed for Wishes. No special 40th tag or difference there. Execept that I had a perfect view for a Tinkerbell photos and..... No Tinkerbell.

No Tinker Bell on the 40th anniversary???? That just doesn't seem right. I mean, if you're not gonna do anything special, and then no Tink? What is the World coming to? I don't remember it being stormy or windy that night. Wonder why no Tink?

A line for the Peoplemover???

Sorry the 40th was perhaps more lowkey than desired. I'm also hoping for a big 50th blowout and a DIS town meet to coincide with it. Is it wrong to want to start planning 10 years out?

So glad you were able to get some of the exclusive merchandise the next day! Very cool pins. I got the "peace, love, mickey" magnets for my car. I see some people chuckling at it but I don't care... makes me smile everytime I see it!

Very cool that the horse knows the routine well enough to know when it's time to get ready to move to the next station. Such smart animals. I hope they have a good life there! I'm sure they do!!

Bus music - isn't it amazing that they take the themeing to that level?? You've probably experienced the sea gulls/wave crashing soundtrack on the Beach Club bus. Sounds silly but can really lull you to sleep on those late night return trips!

Country Bears - I haven't seen them in years. May have to visit in May!

Memory failing. Am sure there was much more I wanted to comment on. Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us. Looks like it was an amazing vacation. And so excited for you that you are headed back shortly!!

Wow....so many updates. All of the pictures are great. We've not been to All-Star Sports since 2000 (where we left after 3 days because we didn't like it), and we never got over to the other All-Star resorts so it is neat seeing pictures.

I love that other monorail sticker...that would be a good one for Mark.

I am all checked into my "home" SSR. Boy is just getting out of the shower. He says i didn't wake him early enough this morning. Since he is a bear inthe am do you blame me?


Having dinner with Memom and Wigd tonight at O'hana. REplies tonight between Mk closing at 1am and first park opens in the am at 7.

I will have to sleep a little during that time.


Going to try EPCOT for a bit. Wish me luck.

Very interesting about the horse. Animals are so much smarter than we give them credit for.

I walk through the gift shop at the TTC. Never really went through there but I thought maybe just maybe they had a unique item. I found this

Glad you made it safely! Wish we had a trip planned down there this year! Enjoy the weekend. Was watching the weather and Sunday/Monday are supposed to be nice, and then a big temperature drop. Gonna be really cold when you get back home.

This guy has the best moves.

I may be wrong but this looks like the guy that was the monkey in Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade at AK in 2008, and also was in the BPB at DHS a few days before that. I will go back and try to find the link to that part of my TR so we can compare. Hush....it's important stuff to know!

I had been hunting that wallet for over a year. I plan to get those pins in a shadow box, I figured they were too special not to get.

Great on doing another one. I lookk forward to hearing how you did. I really overdid it a while ago ( 6 miles in one shot ) and my hips are being a pain literally but I need to get off my duff and get out there.

That pin buy was a spontaneous 40th purchase. I knew they were special and I fell into it so I was not going to let go by. Getting 20% off was icing on the cake. I get pins here and there but not to trade. These were for that special day and I wanted to rememeber it.




Hitting DHS for 8 am rope drop. Boy wanted to go to AK for 7 am but sleeping beauty is just that. More when I break for a midday crowd avoider and nap.

BTW- Had a fabulous meal with Memom, Jill and Wigd clans. We closed O'hana's and had a great time.
