Eat, Run and Celebrate- Day 7- Last Day and New Orleans

I too noticed that your ghost-opponent outscored you in the Accuracy department.

Ooo, what would Rosie do in a flash mob? :rolleyes1

Those ghosts are accurate little suckers. ;)

I could see Rosie joining right in. It would be a hoot.

Fun pictures. I, too, like your accurate ghost. :thumbsup2

That picture on RnR of the people in the row in front of you is hysterical. :lmao: They seriously look like they are in pain!

54 possible combos on Star Tours. Cool!

Sometimes inteh first round where you are chceking out you gun, I shoot over to the other targets but I never had the other side score points. :confused3

I could stand around the exit and just look at peoples ride pictures. :lmao: Dinosaur is good for that.

It seems like it would be a 2-3-3 type of combo. I know DS will be wearing it out this trip so I am sure I will have to hear him explain and figure out most of those combinations. :lmao:

I made my way back towards the front of the park I encountered a flash mob, and a guy filming it.

Since it is a parade now and not a Block Party Bash it is much quicker the whole thing took 7 minutes. If I had to be positive, I would say the parade has to be better for the performers. I miss the acrobats and the interaction is a bit lacking but for traffic control and congestion, this one is better. It also runs the other direction so the 3 pm parade arrives on Hollywood Blvd at 3:08 and the last float goes by at 3:15pm.
Instead of Pixar Pals countdown to Fun – it should be Pixar Pals running for their lives. :lmao:

I finished walking out the front.

Head down to the boat dock.

My destination..... someplace yummy.

I would love to see the video of that flash mob. I bet that was cool. Great parade photos !!

What a flash mob!

Would you believe we have not seen a parade at the Studios for over 12 years? That one looks really great and we'll have to try to see it in September.

That guy was filming so I hope somehow it is out there. :confused3

I walked up towards the end but I am sure it was a bit of pre parade entertainment.

Block Party Bash was great but it could be a little long, especially since it stopped twice. I am sure the performers was worn out.

The new one is a very trimmed down version and I know some people have really complained. I can see if you spend lots of time waiting and it is over in a blink I would be upset too but onthe bright side, the performers don't get heat exhausted and the street does not get blocked off for too long.

Nice updates Pat! We haven't managed to catch the Block Party Bash parade yet. I think I am usually already done with DHS and moved on by the time it normally starts.......or I'm trying to use up all my TSMM FPs at the time.

The 'filler' cast members in the Hollywood parades always impress me. They give it all they've got every time - so enthusiatic and animated.

Cool that you got to see the flash mob.

So what was the flash mob for? Anything in particular? :confused3

I like your idea of "Pixar Pals Run For Their Lives." :lmao::rotfl2: There's not a lot of pathways in DHS, so I can see why they wouldn't want to jam the place up for too long.

The parade looks like more fun than the Block Party Bash, which I never really got into.

Heimlich is my favorite Bug's Life character, but when I see him I can't help but think how Joe Ranft, the Pixar animator who voiced him (and other characters like Wheezy), was tragically killed in a car accident a few years ago.

You encountered a flash mob at Disney World? That has to be one of the coolest things I've ever heard!!!

Since it is a parade now and not a Block Party Bash it is much quicker the whole thing took 7 minutes.

I didn't know that! Learn something new every day. I will def. miss the acrobats and such, but this is probably way more convenient. At least the people at the end of the parade route are not now waiting like 30 minutes to see it!

The Pixar Pals took the place of the Block party Bash but it looks almost the same with the the same floats just no stopping and no acrobats.

This one was just... quick.

I am glad some of them continue to perform in this parade. I bet there a glad the parade is shorter. I can't imagine performing and being that active for 30-40 minutes every day in the peak of the heat.

I didn't see how that mob thing started just that guy filming and people dancing.

So what was the flash mob for? Anything in particular? :confused3

Possible a Pre-Pixar Pals flash Mob??? I have no idea. It may have just been entertainment but I have not seen it done like that before a parade before.

I like your idea of "Pixar Pals Run For Their Lives." :lmao::rotfl2: There's not a lot of pathways in DHS, so I can see why they wouldn't want to jam the place up for too long.

That sort of makes the most sense, but whe I looked at the time stamps I was amazed at how short it was. Compared to the other one that stopped for like 15-20 minutes and made 2 stops it is a significant difference.

I can only guess characters like Sully and Mr. Fredrickson are glad they don't have to be out in the heat that long.

It was a classic parade. With the whole route being clear in 15 minutes, it was kind of nice not to have the park come to a stand still for very long.

Considering I did not wait long to see it, and I was back on my way quickly, it was fine.

Heimlich is my favorite Bug's Life character, but when I see him I can't help but think how Joe Ranft, the Pixar animator who voiced him (and other characters like Wheezy), was tragically killed in a car accident a few years ago.

I like Heimlich too. Reminds me a bit of my mother. Accent and all. :rotfl:

I had no idea the voice of Heimlich and Wheezy was killed, how sad. :sad1:

You encountered a flash mob at Disney World? That has to be one of the coolest things I've ever heard!!!

I think that what it was. Bunch of people in the street doing a similar dance that was not planned. Planned in the sense not onthe schedule but I am sure some Disney CM was the instigator.

I didn't know that! Learn something new every day. I will def. miss the acrobats and such, but this is probably way more convenient. At least the people at the end of the parade route are not now waiting like 30 minutes to see it!

There were some complaints around when it started about how short it was but really it was OK. You are not waiting and clogging up the street for an hour waiting. I am sure it is better for the performers too. I was Ok with it.

:rotfl2: I never noticed the braces before! That's great!

Your parade pictures are amazing! Seriously the best. Makes me want to see that parade right now! :thumbsup2

I took so many so I would not have see it again or feel bad if Disney replaced it. :lmao: I was a bit surprised on how short it was but I can't remember if I felt that way while the parade was going on. :confused3

It was a cute parade and if you liked the Pixar movies then you should like this parade.

I read about the GF DVC and online booking for DVC but this was new and I found out via my Amusment today emails that I get.

http://www.**************.net/2011/12/walt-disney-world-plans-surprise-announcement-on-new-years-eve-for-2012-year-of-more-magic/

As I read further, I see Disney has applied for a new patent. They are thinking Avatar and I am thinking Monstropolis maybe.

Sorry I keep editing but I keep finding interesting things.

This one is the history of the CoP and now I have " Now is the Best time" stuck in my head. :headache:

I really cannot wait to hear what the announcement is going to be!!!

I wonder too. They let the GF DVC out early.
Maybe they will have a solid leap day opening for Storybook circus??

I hope it is a bit more exciting than that even though having a date is pretty good too. :cool1::cool1:
