Eat and Greet Saturday lunch seating cancelled!

I just got an e-mail that the Saturday lunch seating for the Character Eat & Greet has been cancelled. They offered to change it to Breakfast or Dinner or refund my money.

Bummer! This was the time I wanted.

Sad, at least they let you know before you walked in trying to be seated. Plan B...

With the economy the way it is, this may be the first for the marathon weekend but probably won't be the last.

Yeah, I'm really not suprised. I'm glad they gave me the choice to choose another time if I wanted. I'm guessing not too many people signed up for the Eat & Greet...

Now, just to decide if I want to break up my MK afternoon after the Half to go have dinner at WWoS for the Eat & Greet...

I think we have decided to cancel this and get our money back. I was really doing it for the photo op. I want my picture taken w/ Donald with my Donald medal. Does anyone know if he will be hanging around for pictures after the Half or where I can find him in the Magic Kingdome later on Saturday?

We are eating at Chef Mickey's on Sunday, but I'm not sure if he is one of the characters there or not...

Did anyone else's Eat & Greet get cancelled?

Hi Stacie! Donald was at Chef Mickey's the last time I was there in May. I think he's wearing an apron and a chef's hat? Goofy, Minnie, Mickey and Pluto were also there. He's also at the character breakfast at the Tusker House over at AK.

1st picture op is right after you receive your medal, the back drop is the half marathon logo.

2nd picture op with Donald and some of the other characters in their running/workout suits is in the meet and greet area where the stage area is located. The lines are long, so you might want to grab food/drink/mylar blanket and pick up your bag with comfy shoes before you stand in line.

Thanks! Hopefully we can get Donald's pic w/ us. I know for the Minnie 15K, I never saw her, which was very disappointing. It would have been cool to have a picture w/ Minnie w/ my Minnie medal!
