Easy to follow directions?

I am considering a trip where we would rent a car. I have no problem driving, it is the driving on strange roads and knowing where I am going that worry me. Is there a link to, or does someone have a site they recommend for directions to and from the parks? If I remember right it is not the best to follow your Garmin?

One thing Disney is great at is signage. They have lots of big signs on property telling you what lane gets you where. I was afraid on my first solo trip to rent a car because I would have to drive and read the signs to get around. It turned out to be so easy to navigate. Look over the Disney map before you go to be a little familiar where things are and it will be easy for you. Trust me! Once at the resort you can ask at the check in desk for a area map. It comes in a handy bi-fold brochure. Just make sure to pack some quarters and $1 bills for the toll roads to and from the airport.
I bought a bright pink cosmetic bag which is perfect to put the quarters and dollars in. When we get in the rental car I can put the bag in the glove box and always know that were ever we go while in Florida we have our toll money with us.

Once we are on property we follow the signs.

Whatever mapping was on DH's iPad took us all over the place and came out to a one way road going the wrong way for where we were going.

And the last time my iphone's mapping was right but wasn't helpful. It kept using street names. As in "turn right on Epcot center drive", but it's all highway type roads with no signs with names where we were. It was better to just follow disney's signs to where we were going. And we ended up turning onto that road; we just didn't have a street name sign telling us that's what we were doing.

I use Google maps for a general feel for the path I will be taking, but the directional signage at Disney is quite good. We've never had a problem.
