It has been a while since I visited WDW, and DH and I will be spending a day at each park in December. Since DH has back problems, I'm interested in which rides to avoid- any rollercoasters or anything with jerks and quicks drops is a nono. However, I'd hate to think our only option are Pirates and Small World. Thanks so much.

I think Space Mountain in MK is very jerky, and Dinosaur in AK is extremely bumpy and jerky. If I remember right Star Tours at DHS is pretty rough too.

Thanks for the info. Anyone else have a ride or 2 we should avoid?

I'm sorry to hear that! Your DH probably shouldn't ride the following attractions:

Dinosaur
Primeval Whirl
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Expedition Everest
Test Track
Tower of Terror
Rock and Roller Coaster
Star Tours (may be okay if you sit in the middle of the spaceship, ask a CM)
Mad Hatter's Tea Cups

- You can take advantage of the single rider lines at Everest and Test Track to experience them yourself.

He should be able to do other attractions like Soarin', Mission Space (do Green level), Mickey's Philharmagic, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan's Flight, Winnie the Pooh, Small World, Carousel of Progress, Hall of Presidents, Pirates of the Caribbean, Astro Orbiter, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Toy Story Mania, Muppets 3D, It's Tough to Be a Bug, World Showcase films esp. Canada and France, and of course, there are plenty of parades and great shows, which are for all ages... pick up the entertainment schedule pamphlet when you walk into the park. You will be surprised with how much you will be able to do and see at Disney.
