Has anyone done a stingray/dolphin swim on their own on the Eastern cruise? I saw the prices for the one Disney has and they're pretty pricey! We have 4 kids ages 3-13 and the 3 year old would have to sit out. Any suggestions re: stingrays?

I made the mistake of saying something about swimming with the stingrays to my DS 5 and now he wants to do it, this was before I saw the prices! A family of six going to the Auntiga (sp?) stingray/dolphin encounter would be a killer!

Any suggestions of what we could do at any of the Eastern ports with this age group?

We have booked this for our family 2 ad. 2 kids. The only reason I went with DCL, was incase something happened while we were on our excursion they would hold the ship for us! Since this was verrrrry expensive, we probably won't do many more excursions. I would really love to parasail on CC!! If you all don't want to actually swim with the dolpins you can be an observer only for a lot less money!

I don't know about stingrays, but parasailing on CC is a MUST! They say there is a weight minimum, but my 80 pound 10 yo DS went up with me and it was gorgeous! You could see tons of stingrays, and personally I wouldn't want to be swimming with them! :earseek:
