Eastern or Western Caribbean cruise, which side of the ship should we book a room?

We are planning a 7 day cruise not sure Eastern or Western yet...but wanted to see which side of the ship has the best views when in port since we'd like to get a veranda. THANKS!!

We booked totally aft and had amazing views. As in we were staring off the end of the ship! We were in cabin 6188 on the Fantasy and loved watching the ports when we were docked. The view sailing was pretty spectacular, too.
