We like to be lazy at the beach and just hang out there all day.

Instead of an official excursion, is there a way to get transportation to a great beach at St. Maarten & St. Thomas/St. John?

And which beaches are your favorites?

Thanks.

On St. Thomas...we headed for Meagan's Bay. As soon as we got off the Ship, we grabbed a taxi. Very relaxing day. I rented a couple of floats for the kids and a lounge chair for myself.

In St. Martin, we grabbed a taxi and went to the Divi Resort Beach....same kind of relaxing beach day.

Hope that helps.

We took a taxi to Orient Beach. It was a 20 min ride to the beach and there you can rent 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella for $15.00. The taxi ride was $25.00 for 4 adults and 2 children. It is a great beach.

FYI -one side of beach is clothing optional and they tend to take walks down the beach.

On St. Marteen, we spent the day at the beach right where the ship lands. It is lively (so not boring) and there is lots of food and drinks available. There was music and lots of locals to talk to. Plus, the shopping (which is the low-end shopping, not the French boutiques) was right there. We plan on doing the same this time.
