Easter. what's my chances of Getting GF or RV at 7 months?

Looking at extended family trip.
Really would like to treat my parents to Grand floridan or Riveria. Mom will have wheelchair power, or scooter.
I thinking transportation will be easier with skyline or with monorail.
I did book myself what I could with my GV points to cover sat night before easter.
I am looking at staying the Wednesday before Easter and staying until the following week, Friday or Saturday,
I know the points will be insane.
Just looking at my odds. Or if someone can give me a suggestion. Looking at a 2 bedroom and studio.

Never say never, but it seems like the chances of booking at 7 months for that many nights - especially the studio - will be very slim. That is a very popular time of the year. The only suggestions I could offer is be ready/online right at 7 months to book, and also have a Plan B and Plan C in mind in case GF or Riv don't work out. Then, if you can get something else - say Saratoga, as an example. Perhaps you can then do a couple waitlists for the preferred resorts. Although, even that gets complicated with 2 rooms - I doubt you want the GF 2BR waitlist to come through, but then have part of your group in a studio back at Saratoga! Also, be careful (not meaning to state something you probably know) - do you have enough DVC-Y points that you can make the reservations at Riviera, with the restrictions in place for certain types of points not eligible at Riv?

Just be sure you have rooms booked for the vacation - then do your best to modify at 7 months! Good luck and enjoy your trip!

1 beds are your best bet. Should be no issue 1 beds. If you can get in the first day. You can book 7 nights. If it’s clear in the week or so before, you can walk.

Based on numbers alone, you are much more likely to find a studio + a 2 bedroom combo at Riviera.
Riviera has 186 regular non tower studios (38 dedicated & 148 lock offs) and 238 possible 2 br.s (148 lock offs & 90 dedicated.)
There are 47 deluxe studios in the original VGF building - all lock offs. For 2 br.s in addition to those 47 lock off 2 br.s there are 47 dedicated 2 br.s, so 94 possible 2 br.s in the original building.
You are likely aware that VGF is 2 buildings now & the new BPK building does not have any 2 br.s, it has resort studios exclusively (202 of them.) If you’re ok w/ being in different buildings you have a better chance of getting a studio in BPK at the VGF v. the Riviera or the 47 studios in the original VGF building which go fast & of course, when booked, remove the VGF lock off 2 br.s from availability.
But, even though there are more VGF BPK resort studios, your chances of also getting a 2 br. are much better at the Riviera (238 possible) v. the VGF(94 possible.)
