Well this is the last and final installment
Sunday April 11 Easter - Since I know the swan doesnt have a mickey wake up call and my wonderful family has not cooperated in getting up any day so far for ee, I decided to wake them up with a nice medley of religious easter songs. OK, I guess I did the trick because they were all up in no time, hmm are they trying to tell me something about my singing. OK , we never do a character breakfast as I think this really just wastes too much park time and we really arent breakfast eaters, but its easter and ds 12 wanted mickey waffles , so I had made a ps for cape may at the beach club. Well our server betty didnt seem to be happy working on easter. She always disappeared , never filled our oj glasses etc. I definetely would not do a breakfast again, unless its a special occasion. We definetely could have spent our $90 plus somewhere better, or maybe not even on food at all. Worse, Goofy wacked me right in the side of the head with his nice, big, hard, and I really mean hard nose. The whole side of my face was throbbing and hurting. OK, Goofy did get down on his hands and knees to apologize. All I know was I was turning my head nicely in my seat and WACK, he slams right into me. I really didnt feel like eating after that. Also DH was thinking this was rather quite funny. Since a friend of his owns a fl. co. that consults with disney and made sure goofy has a nice comfortable nose, if you get my drift. I told him, go have a nice long talk with your friend. Something needs to be done with those composites for sure. In the lobby they had a very fancy dressed minnie and mickey. The photo op was great but our photos didnt turn out so great. A CM took our family picture but it turned out really bad. Minnie had her hollywood and vine dress on. Next it was off to epcot. We decided we would do the countries. First stop france. DS 12 wanted to start a mask and we talked to the cm as she asked us if we had ever been to france. We told her where dh went and she didnt even seem to know too much about it. Hmm, its a national university there. The movie was interesting. We saw the chair guy. I was really looking for belle and the beast but they had esmerelda and frollo. In Japan we saw the drummers, at the american adventure we heard the voices of liberty and the fife and drummers, We saw the great tin toy display too. Pooh and friends came out 3 times in england but we just missed snow white and dopey. THe ds couldnt get over the bridge fast enough. We had to make our way back to MGM since we had a ps for dinner at hollywood and vine. We really wanted the fantasmic pkg. and it was sold out when I called like 50 days out or more. I still had that planned to eat there. Another case of good timing. We were like 1 hour late for our ps. But they said it was just fine. Good because right while we were eating another huge storm came. This was really bad, the umbrellas on the h and v porch were turning inside out. I told the ds to eat slow and get more desserts. We loved our server Jason. He was the best. After dinner we just went back to the hotel because the weather was still looking really bad. I dont know if they cancelled the first fantasmic, but lots of people with the pkg. were waiting to get in.
Monday April 12 - We decided to head back to epcot. We lost ds 14 again. This was getting on our nerves. It also wasted alot of time. I punished him by only letting him get a kids meal to eat. We did spaceship earth, without him. The ds and dh did mission space. TT had no FP left but a nice lady gave DS 16 1 of her FP. THank you if you were a DISer. He went on by himself and I gave my extra space FP to ds 12. Nothing for ds 14 since he got lost. We also went into wonders of life and did body wars. Just as nauseating as I remember. The ds got a kick out of cranium command. DH and I walked up to Norway and got a table right away about 4:50. Its our favorite restraunt. We loved talking to our server. I asked her about a graduation celebration called russ or rusk, sp?. She told me a little more, Sounds like a wild and crazy time. The food was great as usual. Some kids next to us were pretty unbehaved. Kind of ruined the quiet alone time for dh and I, but we have been there too. I am just glad they had chocolate milk, because I was getting tired of hearing the little boy screaming. We met the ds at mgm and we did muppets, great movie ride,and millionaire. DS 16 was number 6 at one time. The girl who won was 17 from Buffalo and she got 32,000 points. DS 14 came with us and we stopped at beverly sweets, ds 16 and 12 went on star tours and then they ran to RNR and got to be the last ones on that night the CM told them to hurry up.
Tuesday April 13th - Well Dhs new credit card arrived, so he was happy. Good because we needed to pay our bill tomm. It was really cold and windy but the ds wanted to go to typhoon lagoon. It was so cold there, we saw kids with blue lips, shivering etc. The ds didnt mind the weather and couldnt get them out of the wave pool, they loved the slides and shark reef. DH and I got brave when the sun came out after lunch and we just did the lazy river. Even that was freezing when we were sitting on top of the tubes. At night the DS went to Disney Quest. DH and I had a PS at Cape May Buffet. It was pretty crowded there, But the food was good as usual. We then went to DD to do some shopping. I wish I had my coat because it was freezing. Lots of people going into ghiardellies. We just got the ds some t shirts and pens. Also one stuffed stitch. Also went to team mickey, thats it. We were getting really tired. On the bus ride back we picked up a gang at pleasure island. Well 2 girls were really drunk and standing by us. They said they werent feeling well. I was getting worried and wondering if I should offer them one of my nice plastic disney bags. Well the bus driver let them announce our stops. Oh gee, visions of paris and nicole. hmm. But we got back in one piece. I am sure glad we were the 1st stop.
Wednesday April 14 - Got up and packed. Amazingly dh fit all those stuffed animals in the suitcases. I waited and Berkley from Tiffany Towncar was there even 15 minutes than my requested time. He is amazing. I told him DH and the DS were playing golf at fantasia and could he stop and pick them up because I was sure they were almost done. He said, sure no problem. So with that we said our goodbyes to disney and mickey.
I asked the family if they would rather go in hot august again or april. Well they all said april. Even though it was much more crowded they didnt seem to mind and although we did miss a few things, there is always next time. So for holiday traveling I would definetely make the dining ps before you go and be prepared for long lines and use fp. And there is a great alternative to those unreal peak holiday prices disney charges for a room, its the swan and dolphin.
