HI all I'm looking for some help!! We can only go to wdw in school holidays so we have been planning on Easter 2015 and called today for flight prices which are from man to Mco £950 ish each!

I like it at Easter due to the cooler weather but still okay to swim. Crowds are very high but not as bad as Christmas week. It's fine if you can do rope drop. Too busy IMHO if you prefer to sleep in. Flight prices will be rough at Easter but then they will be at any school holiday time. I'd go again then for sure.

Thanks for the reply! We didn't mind the crowds at Christmas week because we had been the week running up to it which was lovely!

We also don't mind doing rope drop either! We paid £750 for direst Xmas flights but these are so expensive and we have to pay to reserve seats!

So the crowds wouldn't put you off? We have 4 boys who love the rides so they would be a must do but in the 4 times we've been we never wait more than 30 mins. I'm expecting they would be longer than this?
Thanks again

Would you consider indirect flights? Easter is one of the worst for flight prices as most areas have the same two weeks and it's a really high demand time.

Easter crowds will be high - it's the second busiest week of the year.

Weather is nice which makes it easier though

My own experience of Easter was that we didn't queue more than an average if 20 minutes but that was with doing rope drop, using a structured touring plan and having good experience of how to utilise (old) fast pass. So the crowds would not put me off. It's busier than August but then the slightly lower temps and much lower humidity mean getting around is less draining. The flower and garden festival at Epcot is pretty and I believe they now have food booths at it too which you might enjoy. My only word of warning. You can't buy Easter Eggs like we get here anywhere on WDW property. We saved several £100 on flights by taking the kids out of school for just one day when we went at Easter. They were only 6 and 9 and it was 'toy day' so no big deal.

We are just back from an Easter trip this year and after having been in October I was nervous about the horror stories of crowds. I am not sure of the dates of Easter next year but with Easter being late this year the spring break madness was more or less over when we arrived and the Easter crowds hadn't yet hit. It was great. Perfect weather & low crowds. I would definitely go again but possibly try and wait until Easter was late again which I think may not be until Easter 2016. As others have said, we went a couple of days before term end and flew with US Airways for £1800 for 2 adults and 2 children. Flights were great, would do it again no hesitation. Even if it's crowded, the great weather helps and we have found that even if Disney is busy, the other parks Seaworld, Busch etc were always quiet.

Thanks for the reply! We really are finding it hard to make the final decision! Schools finish here on 3rd April which is the 2nd week of Easter hols for most of the country! Grrrr that's a great price for us airways! Was that direct?

Hi I've done Easter twice 2011 and 2013 and we're booked to go back Easter 2015 it's a great time to go the weather is warm but not too hot, over the Easter weekend you can meet mr and mrs bunny in magic kingdom, most of the resorts have Easter egg hunts and the food at flower and garden in Epcot is great. It does get busy but if you don't mind rope drop it's manageable. Make sure you book ADRs as early as you can, we did change one of ours last year the day before with no problem so not everywhere is fully booked. We didn't wait more than 20 minutes for any rides and used fast passes quite a bit. I'm sure you'll have a great time (we did!) expect it to be busy and anything else is a bonus :)

It's lovely to hear a good report about Easter! I've got to say we've nearly given up on Easter :( we are going as a group (two families) and kind of, of the opinion that it's a lot of money for getting a lot less for your money!

I think it's because up till this year we have been spoilt going in March, may, OCt and dec. all a lot less (a couple nearly half) than what they are asking for Easter :(

Thank you though! Xx

Have done Easter 6 times, most recently in 2012 & 2013 - great weather, busy busy busy but as long as you're not all about cramming as much as possible in, you'll be fine.

Flight prices are killer. We paid more than we wanted to for our 2015 flights but got exactly what we wanted (indirect). Actually wound up calling the airline to complain about their website (flights going up £300 each between selection and payment!) and they were able to sort me out with what we wanted. First time I've ever booked a flight over the phone - old school! :lmao:

Thanks for the reply! We've booked so fingers crossed it's not too busy! X
