I'm glad that this looks like it has worked out for you. I'm already in the "Never Again!" club. (When do we order the tshirts?) We tried to take guests twice. The first time we were able to cancel without losing any points. The second time, however, is another story altogether.
My DH's parents were all gung-ho about going. We had two studios booked, ADRs made, and a mini-van reserved for the drive down. Then, right before we ordered the tickets they backed out. They said that they really didn't think that they'd have any fun.
Uh...thanks for telling me 10 MONTHS AGO!!!
We had borrowed so many points for this trip (Christmas week) that we didn't want to lose them all, so we ended up staying in a studio for 4 nights and taking a 4-night
DCL cruise on our points. We had fun, but it would have been better to have had enough points to go to WDW in 2007 instead of skipping last Christmas.
The only person, honestly, I can see us taking after this experience is my nephew when he gets older...he's only a few months old right now, but I'm already working on him to become a WDW fan.
