My husband, daughter and I are planning a trip with our friends. There will be 4 adults and we will have 5 kids with us (two 13 year old girls, 10 year old boy, 6 year old boy and 4 year old girl).

We go to Disney quite a bit. We usually only go for the day, but if we stay on property, we stay at PORS. This will be our first time to the campground. This will be the other family's first time, ever. We have our reservations set for April 3rd to April 7th. It never hit me until just a couple of days ago that we will be there over Easter weekend.

We are planning to only go to the Magic Kingdom on one day. The rest of the time, we are looking forward to spending the time at our cabins and enjoy what the campground offers. So, is anything special done around Easter at the Fort? We are planning an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Easter Bunny will obviously bring baskets.

On another note, we have requested our cabins be as close together as possible. Is there anything we can do to make sure this request is honored? Is there anything else we should know before we go?

We are SO super excited about this trip. We know we are going to have a great time. Just trying to get some plans in place before going.

Thank you for any help! :goodvibes

They schedule a whole day of Easter activities...we had soooo much fun last year!

anonymoose,

the two families should "link" their reservations. Exchange reservation numbers then each of you call the WDW reservation line again and add the other family's reservation number as a note on your own reservation.

Reservations download to the Fort about 4-5 days before arrival for pre-assignment of a campsite/cabin based on who is arriving and departing on that date and what should be empty. The Fort Cast Member will see the reservation numbers which means "we're with them and they're with us". This is the best way to convey that you want to be together.

In the past we did this and we got cabins across from each other.

Good luck and have fun! Easter weekend is THE busiest time at the Fort and the parks during the spring so pace yourselves and set expectations accordingly.

Thank you SOOO very much! I really appreciate the help. I called to make both reservations at the same time and specifically asked that we be as close together as possible. I called back a couple of days later to add a day to each of our reservations. There was no note about us wanting to be together. I called, again, a couple of days later to check on it and still no note. I will try, again, this week to see if they linked them last time.

We will only be going to one park - Magic Kingdom - on one day. The rest of our time will be spent at the Fort enjoying what they have to offer. I know it will be busy. I told our friends that Spring Break is still in full swing then. It's the only time they can go. So, we put a smile on our faces and make the best of it. ;)

Thank you, again! :thumbsup2
