We are in the preliminary planning of our next Disneyland trip. It is really looking like we are only able to go over Easter 2019.

I know it will be extremely crowded to say the least. We always avoid going to WDW over Easter due to the high crowds. We have been before over Easter and have had a great touring plan to help us navigate the heavy crowds.

My question is, what could I expect at DLR over Easter of 2019, based on previous years.

Easter is really late in 2019 (April 21), so I think that will actually work to your benefit. Not all schools tie their spring breaks to Easter anymore, so they're pretty distributed throughout mid-March to mid-April. DLR has blocked SoCal and SoCal Select APs the week leading into Easter, so that's when they expect the peak crowds. Are you thinking of going over Easter weekend (4/20-4/21/19) and/or any of the surrounding days? I recall reading that Easter Sunday 2018 itself wasn't to bad in the morning (at least). There will be crowds (there are always crowds), but it might not be overwhelmingly crowded due to the late Easter date.

I feel it might not be as bad as many think. Like figment_jii mentions Easter is later in April. Spring Breaks are over too.
Plus I'm sure StarWars Land will not be open yet. Many people are planning their 2019 trip to DLR, once they feel SWL will be open.

Spring Dapper Days is scheduled for April 13 & 14 in 2019.

We are really open to anything arriving Friday 4/19 and departing Saturday 4/27. We would like to stay 6-7 nights. My daughter will be a senior and is off school starting Good Friday 4/19 and the week after Easter, but that doesn't mean we have to fly in that day. We are coming from Michigan and our past experiences show that our family needs some time to adjust to the time change both ways. I will probably book based on the best airfare I can find.

I am definitely open to hearing opinions from the DLR pros :)

I have a question about to Easter Week 2019. I am well aware that the weeks Before and after Easter are usually very busy .

I am wondering about if that stays true when is Easter is very late in the season like it is in 2019 on April 21st.

We have frequently gone this week in the past and have thought the crowds were very manageable. We booked our time share for April 20th to April 27th 2019, before realizing it was Easter.

I checked a few other crowed calendars and some show it is light and other say its packed.
Hoping that you can provide me some advice!

i know it's not REALLY a corollary, but we were at WDW over Easter, 2014. Easter was late that year, too (the 20th). While crowds were heavy the first three days (Easter-Tuesday), they cleared out as the week went on, and by the end of our stay (the following Sunday) were quite light.
