Fin just locked the door, 2 people in the room behind me. Last girl in the room has never seen a host before and is soooo excited. I'm excited for her - fun to see. She doesn't know how pin trading works and is just so excited! Cool person to get last pin.

I'm not sure which is worse? Sitting around for 3 hours thinking that you hopefully can actually make it into a trade event ... OR .... Crashing, knowing you didn't stand a chance then, and then enjoying real life activities.

EDIT: Forgot to mention my line placement, in case we want to review it for coming weeks. I got in at 247. (technically, should have breezed in ~ as we know from past events, others line placement). Got booted out of line at 25 or a little fewer to go.

Congrats to those that did get in! It is an accomplishment!

The bigger picture is, I had been lucky enough to have been able to get into a Host Trade Event in the past. It just stings .. when you don't, and you are so very close to getting in.

I just want to share this:

The girl that I mentioned above that was last 1 in the room, landed in Storybookland while I was still there.

I asked her how it went. She said "Great! omg thx!"

Me: "Yay! What pin did you get?"
Her: "WDW Pop Century"
Me: "Very nice. Congrats!"
Her: "It's so pretty. So many colors like the rainbow. I can't believe its mine."

Now while I will admit that I waited in line for 3 hours to get a pin for future trading, hearing how excited the last person in the event was to get a pin - not to complete a collection, not because it's "valuable," but simply because "it's so pretty" - made my day. That's the magic!

Yes, it kind of stinks for the event to end when you're number 3 in line but those are the breaks. The only reason I posted it was to add to the other information about how many people moved through the line today. I moved almost exactly 200 places. That will include the people Phinny traded with and I'm sure some disconnects in front of me.

thanks pete, I think most will appreciate what you did there Pretty much just as we expected in the end, 200 is the line we walk.

It really is impressive when you think about it. She pretty much nails us at 1 a minute, probably about 20 or so dc's/ quits

I'll second that "woot" for Fin. I could not imagine doing a trade a minute for such a long period of time.

It cannot be an easy event to work - and one that we as players enjoy, each for our own reasons.
