Easiest way to upgrade tickets into season passes?

Outside the park they could only offer me the price paid for the tickets. Inside, Guest Services price bridged, offering me current gate price.

It's weird that it's different.
It's the exact same team. There's no reason that you would get a different price at one spot versus another. The Guest Services team would scan your ticket into the computer, and the computer is going to tell them what value your ticket has. From there it's a few simple clicks to see what the various upgrade fees would be. I'm curious what different rates they told you.

you might think that but that's not the way it has been working....

read throught the threads that have discussed it and you will note many have personal experience with it such as elaine amj posted.

i have no issue with going inside the park to guest services.
in fact, i prefer doing it that way when i have a need to.

the supervisors are inside the gs parks and the lines move fast for when a TM needs to contact a sup for anything they can't do on their own.
it takes time for the sup to go to the other section to help out there.

one time i used the outside gs and ended up needing to go inside the park to gs for solving the issue i was there for.

i am not saying the outside gs can not do everything, as they can.
but if you have a specific issue that might need a supervisor involved, it is a lot quicker going inside the park for gs.

I agree with Macraven. It would be one thing if the price difference happened to just one person but it has been reported multiple times that there are considerable differences between upgrade prices quoted inside and outside the parks.

Guest services inside are giving the gate value for the tickets. Guest services outside are giving the paid price for the ticket and sometimes even less. So a ticket purchased from undercovertourist.com is being quoted about $30 or less per ticket.

I'm trying to remember if anyone who upgraded outside had used the ticket prior to upgrading. If not, that may explain the difference. Just like Disney they might bridge "used" tickets but give purchase price for "New" tickets. I did it inside because it was a blackout date and upgrading inside I could stay in the park the rest of the day (it was the last day of the blackout period).

They had. I think one had not but they were trying at the ticket booth. I think we had 3 reports of problems outside.

Does anybody know if anybody has had any luck upgrading the military buy one day get 2 free tickets for cheap? I'm thinking probably not.
