I know I will have to try for a waitlist on my September trip and will likely many times in the future. I would probably like to set up the waitlist for the most likely rooms that I would want and can get.

What waitlist/reservations are most likely to come through one bedroom or studio?

What are your thoughts on the resorts and categories and availabilty? It sounds like SSR and OKW are the easiest to get, followed by AKL. When there isn't a special event (e.g. F&W), how do the other resorts rank?

If you wanted to stay by Epcot with a family of 4, what would you put in a waitlist for? We would prefer a studio, but could spring for a 1-bedroom?

TIA!

A 1BR at OKW would be a great deal, the rooms are so much bigger and OKW has just been renovated - that's what I would go for!

If you want an Epcot resort the easiest Epcot room to get on the waitlist will be a BWV 1 bedroom pool/garden room. BWV is larger than BCV so it is usually easier to get than BCV and 1 bedrooms are easier to book than studios. But availability is not an exact science. Luck is also involved.
Good luck. I think you have a good shot at an Epcot resort room because September is one of the easiest month to book DVC.

September is Food & Wine which makes the Epcot DVC much harder to get. Just keep in mind.

Either a preferred one bedroom at the BWV or one bedroom villa at BCV might be the easiest to get of those two resorts. Forget about standard one bedroom and BW view one bedroom.
