Easier to possibly find later? Thanksgiving or Week after?

This would be for a 2 bedroom.

Just wondering if we are trying to book the Wednesday to Saturday (Thanksgiving week) or the Sunday to following Sunday (following week) which is hard to book if at all possible at 7 months?

To clarify for Thanksgiving I am good with SSR or OKW but the following week I would want a resort next to a park. Just trying to think about possible options. I have the points to do a split stay at RIV/BWV in a 2BR but interested in when more flexibility might be possible.

Thanksgiving will be Nov 26 in 2026. First of week of Dec is the highest DVC demand week of the year at WDW (makes Easter time look like an off-season). Those days around Thanksgiving are the fourth highest (Christmas week is second and second week of Dec is third). Example: for BWV, resort view and boardwalk view typically fill within moments after 8 a.m.right at 11-months out for arrival days beginning the Sunday after Thanksgiving (something already shown in the reservation section of DVC for next year at that time), and even pool/garden view fills dunning the 11-month window. Getting a BWV 2BR at 7-months out can only happen via your being able to grab something a BWV member is trying to switch out off at 7-months out. The times you mention are all ones when even OKW and SSR can have days filled before 7-months out, although seeking a dedicated 2BR gives you somewhat more of a chance.

Getting a BWV 2BR at 7-months

To clarify I have BWV and RIV points so no worries about getting a room there. I was more so wondering regarding VGF, BLT, POLY, CCV, BRV, BCV.

I will be booking rooms between BWV and RIV for the time period then possibly looking to consolidate if possible to a single stay.

Availability charts don't really account for waitlists and randomly finding bookings. More so was seeing where people might have seen more luck in the past.

Nothing can account for that though, that's just luck of the draw with cancellations etc. There's really no formula with that. My advice with waitlisting is always to book what you can get and waitlist what you want. Don't try to play the odds.
